im far from pleased with our team.

our ability off the ball is shocking. Our players either all dive in for the ball or watch it and leave it to each other.

we dont read the game well - kane rolled past our defenders so much - switch on, we know what he is going to do.

god knows what our central midfield trio was doing

lallana has lovely ball control, but the strength of a feather

courtinho continues to be our talisman

Sturry looked slightly off pace, but still gives the opposition defenders something to think about and is a threat.

more points dropped from winning positions

but not a bad draw - just disappointing to watch so many basic errors week in week out

Very disappointing, if Man U have had a sh@#e season, then look at us, we can't get anywhere near them and that's for sixth place.

Something drastic has to change now, we can't become a mid table team.

Gotta to be more ruthless in front of goal.  Strikers look timid.

We were the better team and deserved to win. Had the much better chances.

Coutinho was magic and looks like he's really adding some end product to his game. Should have had at least one, if not two assists on top of his goal. Henderson looks like he's coming back to his normal self again. Lallana was excellent in the first half, but in the second half you could tell he had played those England games. Lovren was really good, bar the goal.

Can had his worst game in a while and Sakho had a woeful first half.

One stupid mistake cost us, Lovren was playing so well too. Overall, I felt we edged it, and if we took our chances, no doubt we would have won.

Lallana MOTM for me, he worked very hard and played well.

      Yep played well didn't he.

On a side note I always see your username and think its going to say purple aki then it reminds me of this song  :lmao:

Once we scored I thought we would step it up & go for it,but we just couldn't get a grip in midfield and Spurs really did walz through us on numerous occasions.
Thought Phil,Lovren and Lallana where excellent today and a mention for migs who made some vital saves.
Little Phil MOTM for me ,scored an outstanding goal and Could have had a hatrick.

I don't think we really deserved to win and I don't think they did either.

In many ways we played above ourselves because as capable on their day as most of them are, there isn't many match winners in this side of ours.

See nothing special in Spurs and I hope now that Leicester get over the line.

I'd say our off ball is some of the best we've had in a long time myself.

Grab a lead , give it away. Same story different day.

Do we lead the league in points given away with leads?

Same sh*t nearly every week. Managing the game seems to be a problem with us. Certain players staying on when they're evidently one of our weakest links, bringing on defensive players for attacking ones at around the 65 minute mark and then bringing on an attacker in the 90th minute.

To be fair mate, I think we brought Ibe on to give us time to regroup and waste a bit of time as we were under pressure, rather than expecting a miracle from Ibe.

Surprised to see so many negative comments after that match. We played well in stages and had decent chances.

Don't have a problem with the substitutions either Sturridge looked tired and allen was brought on to try and get a better grip of the midfield and it worked we were the better team.

Another game we throw away by not taking chances.

Thought watching Suarez would make me feel even worse but he's missed a sitter so now I feel a bit better :)

The sad thing is, if Henderson had influence and control of the game, Allen would never have been needed and we could have kept that extra attacker. Unfortunately, his anticipation was piss poor, always a fraction behind the phases of play and Spurs just walked through him like he was a ghost.

Thought we played pretty well in that game:

Mignolet: Couple of shaky moments, poor communication and flapping at a cross but did pull off a couple of decent saves: 6/10

Clyne: Thought he was hopeless going forward and not as good defensively as he can be: 6/10

Lovren: Apart from one mistake which was costly he was excellent, unfortunately that mistake was punished: 7.5/10

Sakho: Shocking first half, better in the second half but it would have been hard not to be: 5/10

Moreno: Thought he had a decent game, couple of cracking recoveries, did get caught once or twice as is expected with him: 6/10

Henderson: Offered so little other than chasing down and mopping up the easy stuff, disappointing again: 5.5/10

Can: Thought he was our best midfielder on the day, had glimpses of great play: 6.5/10

Milner: Very disappointing, gets beaten too easily, doesn't offer nearly enough in either direction. 5.5/10

Lallana: Seems to have a good game/average game/good game/ cycle going on, he's due a good one v Dortmund if that continues: 6/10

Coutinho: Was great in the first half and very good in the second, easily man of the match in the end: 8.5/10

Sturridge: Seems a touch off the pace as others have mentioned, good touch for the goal, should have scored though: 6/10

We had the chances to win the game, Spurs probably had more dominance in terms of possession. Was a decent game and you can see that we have plenty of areas we can improve upon but when we click we are very good indeed.

Game was a microcosm of our season created enough chances to win but not clinical enough to put them away.

Sturridge with 2 you would expect him to bury, and the Lallana chance inside the 6 yard box summed up his career at LFC, lovely touches and turns but not much output when needed.

Shame it was Lovrens error which led to their goal as he was good otherwise, unlike his fellow CB who seems destined for the bin come next season.

Hendo and Milner with plenty of huff and puff but unfortunately just lack that but of skill required at the top level, no idea why we persist with Milner taking corners, absolute joke.

I thought we really missed Firmino.

Thankfully it almost the summer and a few of those you mentioned will hopefully be replaced and we might actually see what Klopp can really do.

Because as it stands we are close at the minute and a few upgrades on what we've had to field this year will push us up to where we should have been this season had we not wasted money during the last summer.

Compare the way Dembele bossed that midfield to our lightweights who constantly gave the ball away and you can see why we didn't go on and win.

Something which hopefully will be sorted thus summer along with 2 decent CB's.

And yet with out lightweight midfield, it didn't really help them either. We did draw right?

So, so much for their midfield boss Dembele.

I actually think we were fairly lucky to win, we played ok with the resources we have and I'm happy with a draw. Spurs are the best team I've seen us play against this season, their interplay is very very nice and its a credit to our defending that we kept them out for most of the game. What we needed today was a Sturrdige on fire but that didn't happen, thank god for Coutts who got us out of trouble again..

Strange vibe to this game from the off. I thought we played as underdogs, no assurance in our play, just simply trying to out run and out work Spurs. Thought we tried to play too fast for our abilities and paid the price in bad passing and loss of possession.

Maybe we played as we intend to play against Dortmund, because we usually show a little more craft and a little less graft than we did today.

Our midfield as I expected struggled to match Spurs, but on a positive note we still managed to create more chances than them (take a bow Coutinho).

There was a contrast with Daniel Sturridge.
No-one will doubt Sturridge’s finishing capabilities, but since his return from injury he has been unable to rediscover the pace that was one of his greatest assets. It is a concern for club and country.

Throughout this game the forward was demanding the ball to his feet, the prospect of chasing on to loose balls that might invite a challenge ... more daunting to him than was previously the case.

It is understandable he is wary given the length of time he’s been out and although he remains a threat at just 70 per cent fitness, he needs to fill the void and get to full steam if he is to be Roy Hodgson’s first choice.

      ww.telegraph.co.uk/football/2016/04/02/liverpool-1-tottenham-1-have-spurs-blown-their-title-chance-how/

Telegraph  comparison Sturridge to Kane .

Another sulking face like a slapped arse being substituted.
Would mind his petulance if he had been playing @ 100%  ... which he wasn't.

Think he has discovered that being paid an obscene amount of money for having his feet up has given him a Sterling perspective on football life at Anfield.

Now where that Paris number ?
