Debs, maybe my scepticism here but do you think the lack of majority on Q6 will be used to squirm away from prosecution?

      Nah mate, not a chance.

Even during the Inquests and ever since the Independent Panels findings the Police have continued to to put up as many obstacles as possible to obscure the truth, to put the burden of blame back onto the fans and is one of the reasons why the Inquests took over 2 years.

This feels like a seminal moment in the history of this football club. Far greater than any trophy. Justice, finally. Justice.

I'm in tears right now and I know I'm not the only one in these boards,
I want to hug all of you right now,

We are a family, we are as one, we all feel one another's pain,
The relief of emotions all those families who lost loved ones must feel today is immeasurable, unimaginable emotions,

My heart goes out to every single one of those 96 families,

      Finally you have JUSTICE

      RIP 96

      YOU'LL NEVER WALK ALONE.

Ive just been sobbing since the verdict was reached.

Last night it was a few minutes to midnight. Radio 2.
Jools Holland was interviewing Rita Tushingham the actress. As the last song of his show she chose YNWA.

She said the emotion of that song she felt when we went to Anfield has never left her.

I knew the verdicts would be the right ones today.

The only verdict that received a jury NO was the question about the fans behaviour.

NOW the whole world knows the truth !

      JUSTICE

All the time of deaths indicate far more could have been done and that the arbitrary 3.15pm time was just bollox.

      Stunning scenes Walt.

I would like to say the following..I am so proud of the families of the fallen 96 Red brothers & sisters, I'm proud of their families who stood up to the corrupt system and never for one day allowed the memories of loved ones to be tarnished & fought for justice when they were told they would not get any...

I'm proud of this club who stood shoulder to shoulder with victims, their families & the supporters....

Today I feel 10ft taller with the verdict given and feel even more prouder to be a Red.

      "Truth will overcome Falsehood".

      YNWA.

      JFT96..

Now we  have to fight to bring those responsible to account....

Starting with that sh*t rag and editor for their smearing & then the establishment for turning a blind eye for 27 years prolonging the pain and suffering of all those affected..

Margaret Aspinall & Ann Williams....You'll Never Walk Alone.

Agreed Shabs, Anne was an incredible woman and her story touched so many, thoughts very much with her family and friends, can't possibly imagine what they're going through.

Reading through the times of deaths now.  There is not many fans who have a time of death 'certainly' before 3:15pm - the original cut off time in the inquest.

Could have been as late as 4:33pm for one of the victims read out so far.

Just saw the news on my lunch break and stopped me in my tracks.

My uncle was there that day and to know he is now 'officially' exonerated along with everyone else is difficult to put into words.

I hope the families can now have closure, I think this was always about getting the truth recognised rather than prosecutions (even though they will come) and now that has finally been achieved.

      Wow.

I can't fathom what a struggle this has been for all those that lost loved ones that day. It took far, far too long but the truth FINALLY rings loud and clear.

So much admiration for all of those that continued to fight for justice when I'm sure it felt like it would never come.

      What a momentous day.

71 of the fans were under the age of 27.

Puts the 27 year fight for justice in some context.

It took 27 years to what most of us knew all along. I remember watching the match on TV as I was about 28 at the time. Today is a very special day  for all the victims, family, friends, supporters & Liverpool Football Club. Justice has now  been done for those that lost their lives in such tragic circumstances. RIP 96

Wow, sat in work and heard the news and just feel so proud of all those who have fought so long against the odds to get to this vindication of everything we have known for 27 years. Spare a thought for those who haven't lived to see this momentus day , people like Anne Williams and many like her. So proud, so happy but with the lingering thought of how it took so long to get justice. YNWA JFT96

Newcastle United manager Rafa Benitez has welcomed the verdict of the jury in the inquest into the Hillsborough disaster.

The former Liverpool boss said: "After so many years fighting for justice I am really pleased to see the verdict today, which confirms what we have been saying for a long time.

"I am especially pleased for the families of the 96 who have sought justice for so long and with such dignity, as well as for the people of Liverpool and for football fans in general.

"Hopefully this verdict today will ensure that this kind of tragedy can never happen again."
