Was reading today that an 'anonymous' club has placed a bid. Could that be us I wonder?

Wouldn't surprise me if it was Man City mate. He seems more suited to Guardiola's style than Hart does.

I'd very happily have Joe Hart if Pep doesn't want him.

He would be a good buy and he would fit in straight away, also he would not need time to settle in.

If Jürgen signs a new 'keeper he'll have to be more than just 'competition' (IMO) Billy.

As for PL proven - like everything else; sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't but no one should dismiss it's validity. Barcelona have at least two lads who are deffo PL proven - one called Mach or Masch (something like that) and another called Louie or Lewis (a bloke from Uruguay)... I'd have the two of them tomorrow.  ;D

As you say sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't,even Bill Shankly wemt through 3 goalies and then settled on Tommy Lawrence who was on our books all the time.

Yeah, Tommy had served his 'apprenticeship' for a few years before then... a great keeper.

I actually had to check back there Billy - my first game was Spurs [0-0] in April '71 and I know that was the year Tommy left but when I checked, it was actually Clemence who kept goal that day. So, long story short - sadly no.

An excellent goalie replaced by another excellent goalie,as was the system under Bill Shankly  Ray Clemence did a couple of seasons in the reserves and when he replaced Tommy he was good and ready.
Back on topic whoever we buy be it Ter Stegen, Joe Hart they cannot be any worse than the Bolton Reject Bogdan.

Agree. There isn't any reports linking us to him now either and with Karius signing and Migs seemingly set to stay I can't see this happening.
