Apparently was not happy that the fee and wages offered were leaked to media.

Wouldn't surprise me if we didn't bid at all in all honesty. The finances were going to get leaked at some point anyway whether it's before or after he signed, I doubt Klopp would pull a deal because of that.

I've literally seen no one reporting this, not even on Twitter where most of these rumors originate.

The fact that it's the Daily Star says a lot really. It's also common sense that if he was to join then he'd have to come in for a medical in the next few days.

Quite possibly -- none of the reliable ones are reporting it.  Also, it doesn't seem to make much sense for him to come here.  We have been playing most games without a recognized striker, while the most talented English striker of this generation struggles to get 5 minutes at the tail end of matches.  I can't see this lad getting loads of playing time, regardless of how talented he is....

Add all that up, and it seems like nothing more than paper talk....

He has just come out and said that we did bid, the clubs agreed on fee and he was due to fly in for medical.

Had a last minute change of heart wanting to play CL football with his boyhood club Dinamo Zagreb.

Yep just read that, said he was happy to be linked with Liverpool but yeah like you say wanted to play CL with his favourite team.

why was the deal not done and re-loan him till his CL adventure ends with dynamo (that should be January I guess)
