Coutinho with a hat trick! Hopefully be smashing them in for us next season. Anyone know what position he was playing?

I wouldn't make much of his hat-trick tbh. Hopefully that helps him consolidate his place in the starting lineup but Haiti players are probably barely professional. I saw them in the Confederations Cup a few years ago against Spain and it was laughable how they struggled to even get past the halfway line - and when they did, the fans would cheer them on for a laugh.

So true. Was excited when I saw on my Twitter feed that he'd scored a hattrick...then I learned it was against Haiti.

But how on earth did Brazil concede against them? How does Dunga sleep at night?!!

Undone by a little bit of pace.  Apparently their first ever goal in Copa America.

Shhhh! That's the excuse we'd give if someone like Willian got a hat trick, the Chelsea b***ard :D

Brilliant hat trick. Well done Phil. Player of the tournament :f_tongueincheek:

Venezuela gone 1-0 up to Uruguay. Rondon gets to a rebound first and Uruguay could be out in the group stages :o

My commentator keeps calling Luis Suarez "Luis Sanchez". WTF?

Always impressed with Jose Maria Gimenez. Can't say i've seen him too many times but about a half dozen times for Uruguay and he always plays very well.

Cavani open goal from 8 yards and he misses in injury time. Then a loose ball 3 yards out and he can't get a foot on it.

Anyone still rate him? He's F***ing awful.

Saw Luis threw a fit when he wasn't put in the game, that didn't look good, wonder what was going on.

He wasn't named in the matchday squad. I don't think he knew that. He was warming up midway through the second half wanting to go on but he wasn't in the substitutes :D

Thought I'd read that he wasn't going to be fit for the group games somewhere?

Luis Suarez has hissy fit as Uruguay exit Copa America with defeat to Venezuela 4/41
      The Independent

Luis Suarez lashes out during Uruguay's defeat to Venezuala (Picture: [copyright])© Provided by The Independent Luis Suarez lashes out during Uruguay's defeat to Venezuala (Picture: [copyright]) Luis Suarez flew into a furious rage last night as Uruguay exited the Copa America.

The Barcelona striker was sitting on the bench for the 1-0 defeat to Venezuela, a result that meant Uruguay were knocked out of the competition just two games into the tournament.

Salomon Rondon scored the only goal of the match, reacting to Alejandro Guerra's incredible 50 yard effort which rebounded off the cross bar after goalkeeper Muslera managed to get the slightest of touches.

With Uruguay trailing, Suarez began to warm up on the sidelines but was overlooked by manager Oscar Tabarez, who brought on Diego Rolan, then Nicolas Lodeiro and finally Matias Corujo.

Suarez was incensed. The former Liverpool player remonstrated with his manager before punching his fist against the perspex glass on the side of the dugout. He then ripped off his bib and threw it to the ground.

I guess he was just gutted that he wasn't able to contribute to the game  :(

Gotta feel for him. Didn't nobody tell him he wasn't among the substitutes?
He's been carrying Uruguay for so long now. They never did well when he's suspended or injured (the past 2 World Cups and now this Copa America). Cavani is vastly overrated.

Must be hard, to be 1-0 up making heavy weather of playing against Panama and you can bring on someone like messi, literally watching another game

2nd I would have thought.  Would imagine Colombia going through the motions would beat Costa Rica?

US v Para had shockingly poor officiating. Inconsistent, missed and just ignored calls. f***in' horrible head official. He was either betting on the game or is blind and incompetent.  Personally i think hes used to officiating in some corrupt S. American league and just forgot hes in the Copa. Either way he sucks knobs.

Damn I should have watched that Colombia v Costa Rica match last night.

I love this Costa Rica team - they were one of my favourite teams in the World Cup and they keep surprising you!

Surprised to see Costa Rica beat Columbia.  USA finish first in the group. We will play the team in first in group B,  right now that is Brazil.
