Downloaded OS5 for my iPhone no problems, but the little ladies  now on the 5th attempt to download.

Apple say I have a problem with my connection! Utter crap, as I'm on my PC on the same connection with no problems.

Trying to get the OS5 now and it's telling me that it's downloading 1mb a minute. Another five hours to go.

Funnily enough, (for now) my internet connection is very good. So it must be an Apple server thing.

Am I F**k staying up all night.

Doing the upgrade late at night isn't a good idea.

Sorted this morning but took 2 attempts.

I now have to explain the changes, and the differences between Txt and iMessages, why one is green and the other blue.

On the advice of a mate, and very reluctantly I bought the Ultimate ears 600vi headset from the Apple store. It was without any shadow of a doubt the best thing I have done in a long time. The sound quality either listening to my ipod or as a hands free is nothing short of immense. It was the £89.95 that was my initial problem. That said I would honestly pay twice that if I had to (to replace them).Christmas round the corner peeps!  ;)

Little help needed for a friend.

How do you transfer your contacts, from an old iPhone to a new one?

Both have the same 'phone number so they can not text them, as the old one would be deactivated.

      Any ideas? Thanks.

RP, if you sync the old iPhone to a computer, you can transfer all contacts to your computer. There are a few places you can store them but I think Windows Contacts could be the default one? Then they should be stored on the computer. When you go to sync the new iPhone, you can choose to them import this library of contacts into your phone. I've never done it, only backed up my contacts using the first bit, but I would imagine that is how you would do it.

Cheers. You'd think Apple would have some special "iThingy" for this, and having to use a Windows Program is just wrong.

I was able to just simply plug my iphone into the computer, transfer everything onto the computer, and then transfer it back onto the new phone. Every single thing came across, from contacts to apps, right down to texts from two years ago! It's like i never changed phones, except for the actual phone being way better :D

Was thinking about it, no flash player really is a let down though.

Make sure you get your phone unlocked before you transfer the number.

What deal did you end up getting?

Got it free on a 2 year deal, £36 a month. Still a bit on the pricy side but cheaper than my last one.

With H also due to get a 4S in December, I won't have to pass my phone down now. So if an iPhone 5 comes out in the next year or so I might be able to sell this and put the money towards the cost of a new one.

Sister just accidentally spent £60+ in an app linked to my iTunes account, didn't ask her for my password or anything, which it should because I have purchased in app before. Didn't know there was a setting to disable in app purchases, but still, gonna try and get onto Apple because it didn't ask for my password and she is only ten and doesn't have a clue what my password is, so she didn't enter it.

      Ah nice one lad.

Was looking at the price Vodafone would give me for my iPhone 4 and it was £280.

My contract's up in February though so can I'm thinking I will either give an Android a bash for 12 months or maybe treat myself to an iPad3 or another tablet instead of getting a phone upgrade.

iOS5 completely erased my iphone4 and made all my data unrecoverable. This really pissed me off and i went out and got the Samsung Galaxy S II. Im in love with it much better than any of the iphones i ever had ( 1g, 3g, 3gs, 4) and I will be sticking with android from now on.

Just download an album online through a torrent site or whatever, then on iTunes go to File, Add folder to library, find where the album is saved and the songs will go into your iTunes library, now you can sync them to your iPhone.

Did the jailbreak on my iPhone 4 before.  Easy to do, had a play with some of the apps, themes etc, but my strangely people aren't receiving my texts.  If I could be bothered I'm sure it is an easy fix, but I wasn't overwhelmed with the jailbreak features so I'm just restoring back to normal.

I done the Jailbreak on my first iphone because that was before the app store was out, so jailbreaking meant you could get loads of cool games and stuff that non jailbroken ones could. Done it with my 3g one aswell, can't remember if the app store was available right when the 3g came out or whether it was only available after an update, but either way, you couldn't record video on it. So that was the main reason for jailbreaking that one.

Now I've got the iphone 4, and I don't see any reason to jailbreak really. I suppose you can get any app for free and I think there's something you can get to support flash which would be alright, but as JD said, I think jailbreaking the newer iphones is more hassle than it's worth.

Guys, I have an iPhone 4S and over the past month or so, it doesn't seem to pick up any wifi networks when I turn the wifi search on. I google'd it and it appears to be since the latest apple software update. Anyone know how I may go about fixing this? Thanks for any help provided.
