Sturridge has not been great today.

        playing on the right..

We had to play him centrally, but no, Roy replaces him with Kane, and then plays Kane centrally!!!!

Woy has made the group difficult for us.

He doesn't even know his best team. How is that possible at this stage?

What is he getting paid to do?

What a performance by Wales. Bale MOTM, Allen was a masterclass in harrying and keeping things neat and tidy. and Ramsey was fantastic linking midfield and attack too!

All 3 Wales goals looked really simple. Did Russia put any effort in at all?

Hodgson at Liverpool - 35% win percentage in the league.
Hodgson at England - 30% win record for England at tournaments.

Fairly consistent - got to give him that.

England should have walked that group - Wales were the toughest opponents.

Not beating Russia or Slovakia and scoring just one goal in those games is absolutely appalling.

Could do with Ronaldo turning up and getting Portugal over the line against Hungary now.

      Typical clueless tactics from Hodgosaurus.

With a parked bus he takes off Studge and leaves on Vardy.

No idea what Rooney offered, if anything England looked less threatening.

We don't need to win, a draw is enough and Roy loves going for a draw  ;D

look who we might be playing now?
;D i think the win was a must.

it doesn't make a difference, Wales could still get Czech or Croatia and England Hungary, Iceland or Austria.  I really doubt Portugal are going to be runner up in their group. They are much more likely to be 1st or 3rd. I don't think Northern Ireland or Albania will get through to make it easy for Wales.

A stroll in the park for Wales! A sip of Martini there, a peek behind the shades here - so so easy! Look forward to the last 16 with Wales showing all the big sides how to do it! Absolutely sure they will get to the quarters.

Now England...causing concern?! Definitely. No doubt Hodgson will come out and praise the mighty possession performance of unbelievable back passes and sideway passes but it wasn't acceptable and a 0-0 draw was totally deserved (as well for Slovakia who defended and kept their shape so so well with great discipline). Hodgson thinks it's radical enough to just put out a 4-3-3 formation on the piece of paper he hands into the UEFA official when announcing the First XI. But sadly Roy, you have to play like a team that set out on as 4-3-3. The only movement that happened off the ball was from the Liverpool dynamic and you can be sure as hell that such movement off the ball was NOT taught on the England training field, rather Clyne, Hendo, Sturridge and Lallana playing their own game taken straight from Melwood. Playing a 4-3-3 that is constantly flat as that and fails to move otherwise was utterly pathetic. Does Roy think that you only have to get to outer space sticking a firework up your arse and screaming 'Lift off!'.

Don't we get 1 of Hungary, Iceland, Portugal and Austria? I'll take that. The difficulty comes in the 1/4's where France will no doubt be waiting.

Not much to separate Portugal or England. Both teams too slow, uninspiring and overrated. Should make for a cracker of a match then.

Very disappointing when you think Wales were the hardest team on paper in our group (( which is weak )).. And yet we only finish runners up.  :-\  Glad Wales got through though.

That would be very harsh if Wales played Croatia in the next round (is that confirmed - Wales play a team from that group?)

If that happens I think England dodged a bullet. I think we do not know our first team yet.

Wilshere lost the ball a couple of times in the midfield but he did so because he was prepared to take a chance rather than play safe and pass sideways or backwards. There were a couple of lovely balls over the top that almost ended in something for England. I think he looked very handy, much more so than Rooney who either should have started the game from the off or play no part at all.
