      Game intelligence of the Germans is just a cut above most other sides particularly England. I don't know whether it is down to the fact that these Germans are educated to a higher level and come from predominantly middle class but their ability to sense and react to situations and challenges is impressive. There's a lot to be said for educating our footballers to much higher levels while they are with out academies but from what I've seen so far, most of our academies seem to deploy token education just sending our young players on woodwork and cookery courses. I think if you can spend money on everything else you can at least spend a little on giving players a good academic education.

      Germany vs Ukraine has been the best game thus far. Very entertaining match.
      I thought Yarmalenko looked good in the first half and Konoplyanka set piece delivery was spot on... (just singled out 2 players we were linked to in recent yrs).
