Croatia needlessly messing about with the ball at the back.  Are they just going for the counter attack here or what?

Yeah they are messing about. Going to fall into the Portugal trap England usually do if they can't impose themselves more in the final 3rd.

What happened to Mandzukic? He used to be quite good. Blackburn reject Kalanic is offering more this tournament.

;D at that woman saying Wales' draw is favourable for them, they'll end up with Belgium next :D.
I'd take France all day over Belgium, that being said. Belgium are the toughest on that side and Germany are the toughest on our side. There is a chance we will get ROI over France anyway. When France had Zidane, I would not have wanted them, when they had Henry still no thanks. I don't think Belgium are number 1 in Europe like the ratings show, but they are better than France now. It is by no means an easier game, but it is not harder than the game we would have had from winning the group. I don't think being a home nation helps anymore either since there is more added pressure for the home nation than their used to be. I helps in the group stages but once it gets to knockout the home nation often bricks it.

I think Croatia have been better, but I think Portugal will nick it.

Not great games today, but thought Switzerland were really unlucky, over the whole game they were by far the better team, great goal by Shaqiri, terrible pen by Xhaka!

      N. Ireland very unlucky against the Welsh, say what you like about Bale, but that was a fantastic cross into the box. Brilliant support as well by the Northern Irish fans even if that Will Grigg song is starting to get on my tits.

Again not a great game between Croatia and Portugal and I currently see that game going to pens.

Not watching it, got the boxing on instead but I hope Croatia go through and somebody kindly boots that F***ing whining ladyboy somewhere into next week.

Got both on now, footie on the telly and the boxing on my lappy. Martin Murray up against George Groves now, c'mon Croatia & Murray!!

So a team draws 4 games but makes the quarters. It's one of the things that makes me really dislike this new format.

I think Portugal will beat Poland. Wales route looks to be Belgium then Portugal. I'd take France then Germany over that. What is all this easier side garbage?

It doesn't matter now. They scraped through when Ronaldo had an off game. What about when Ronaldo has an on game?

Had a feeling that might happen. Portugal usually go deep in these tournaments, they always find a way until eventually pushing their luck too far.

Shame for Croatia but glad England managed to avoid that banana skin.

Portugal have been drawing games, but if their attack improves, which it has the potential to they will be dangerous.
