Would have been happier with an easier tie then Portugal only because ladyboy looks to be hitting some form.

I think we will have too much quality for them overall.

Spain vs Italy has to be the tie of the round, but I could see a few more surprises.

I don't think you have much to worry about to be honest. They conceded three against a Hungarian side not renowned for their scoring exploits.

Great to see England play after everyone else.

Now Roy will be able to know who his opponent will be before the game and will be able to play accordingly....

I think ROI are going to beat France. They will have so much drive because of what happened against them before.
Ireland have waiting a long long time for this. What better way to get revenge then knocking them out their our tournament?
France have pressure, Ireland have nothing to lose and will go out believing they can win without any pressure.

Firstly, excellent work to the OP on the 'flag' representations.

Secondly, top half of the draw have been to two finals and lost both.

Bottom half of the draw have been to 15 finals and won the Euro Championships 9 times.

Opportunity for a new name on the trophy this year.

Lucky? I think it'll be a challenge against yet another team that puts 11 behind the ball but there won't be any luck about it IMO.

You are right...England never has luck on their side. I'm picking Iceland.

Poland v Switzerland. Looking forward to this one. Poland went through the group stage without conceding, so should be interesting to see if the Swiss can break through.

I've never seen somebody miss so many chances as Milik. He should have about 10 goals in this tournament.

If half of those chances had fallen to Lewandowski he would have been top scorer.

Switzerland have only scored one and conceded one.

Wake me up when the penalty shoot out is about to start.
