I have seen the Sadio rumours flying around all week on the twitter.

I hope its not true, but also never begrudge a player wanting to play in another country (especially the Spanish or German) after giving the club a large chunk of their career.

Sadio Mane: “The day my father died, I was seven years old. He’d had a stomach ache but because there was no hospital, we tried traditional medicine. So they took him to a village and he died there.
21 years later Mane cut the ribbon at the hospital entrance, where a plaque reads: “The Bambali hospital was funded and inaugurated by Mr Sadio Mane, Senegalese international footballer.”
Adama Ndione, a Senegalese journalist, recalls what happened next.
“After a short speech, and countless photos taken, Sadio quickly left and no one knew where he was going,” he says, laughing. “They caught up with him under a mango tree outside his mother’s courtyard. He picked a huge, ripe mango off of the floor, washed it at the faucet and took a huge bite. Everyone roared with laughter and said, ‘The big star eats mangoes like all the villagers’.” ❤️ [The Athletic]

Love Sadio, he’s given us so much and I always feel gutted when some of our fans doubt him.

If it was up to me, I would give him a chunky contract to stay for the next 4/5 years. He’s worth it.

Him seeing Diaz fighting for his spot may just be the catalyst of getting back to that form, where he just seemed unstoppable.

Yes, I don't understand why he should have started. Same for Firmino, who has been average.  But Klopp said, they did not want Diaz to start there, too risky and Jota could not train.

Its a fair point but Barnsey was an out and out winger then a centre mid, Sadio is a left side forward

Don’t think its the right comparison - Digger was a pure winger and then dropped deeper - Mane never really a winger ,

Imagine comparing both rather than celebrating both actually played for the Reds.

For the record, Barnesy was magic.

This article is excellent. Mane is a legend and I can’t believe some of our fans doubt his quality. Big game player with big game goals. Love him.

Another machine, underrated and counted out by so many, but the man keeps scoring and keeps performing.

We really are blessed just now.

Casio is not crap given their market dominance in the watch market. Don't let Taki hear this! Sadio probably doesn't need luxurious high end stuff.
