We need a winger with pace and goals... I think we have got one with Sadio.

At least he won't be scoring against us this season. Might be wrong but I think he may have got 4 or 5 against us last year.

For those who need clarification of Jürgen wanting Sadio at the Club and his interest in him before becoming our Manager.

The Senegal international today finalised a switch to Anfield from Southampton, where he scored 25 goals in 75 appearances during a two-year stay – including four strikes against the Reds last season.

Mane first caught Klopp’s eye at the 2012 Olympics football tournament as his country reached the quarter-finals, and the German continued to follow the forward’s progress as he impressed for Red Bull Salzburg and then the Saints.

Now the 24-year-old will enter the next stage of his career with Liverpool, and the boss is eager
Klopp told Liverpoolfc.com: “I have followed Sadio for a lot of years since his impressive performances in the Olympics in 2012, and then watched his development in Austria and in his time at Southampton.

“Since I came here I have spoken to the staff a lot about him and have always felt he could be a very good signing for us.  He has a lot of quality, works hard and has a very good goalscoring record.

“When I spoke to him I could tell that he was passionate about joining the club and playing for our fantastic fans.  I think they will be just as excited about seeing him put on a Liverpool shirt as I am.

“It is great that we have managed to sign him so he can work with us from the first day of pre-season.”

Regardless of whether I think he's the best fit, I'm glad that Jürgen's been supported and got the player he wanted. That's how it's supposed to work.

Can't believe anyone is moaning about this lad or the price ....we are awash with money as is most of the premier clubs .
He didn't look to shabby against us last season and his goal scoring record is very good.👍

Our top scorer last season - a season with 63 competitive games - got 13 goals.

No pressure Sadio - seriously - no pressure.

I reckon he'll be knocking on they number by Xmas.

      Well in, seriously good business.

      are you having a laugh?

Mane, at £30 million, is good business?

this is embarrassing.  Anyone who thinks otherwise is in denial.

And it's "supporters" like you which is which is wrong with a part of this club. Get a grip and have some faith for F**k sake, writing off a player who has had a decent career so far before he has even trained with us is frankly pathetic.

I quite like him, he's very quick,he's direct and skilful on the ball. He has done pretty well at Saints and his goals record, particularly against some of the bigger sides is particularly good. He can play right, left or in a 10 shirt and he has a nice weight of pass when playing others in on goal. He put four past us over two games, bagged a hatrick vs City, scored past the gooners so he is a talent.

My only doubt from watching him is his first touch which is often quite scruffy/heavy, you can see that from watching the clips from the various games.
