RANGERS and Liverpool have agreed to terminate Ovie Ejaria’s Ibrox loan period. Ovie will be returning to Liverpool immediately.

The midfield player has not settled in Scotland and wishes to continue his career back with his parent club.

Ovie arrived at Ibrox in June and played twenty-eight matches including eleven times in the Europa League, scoring twice for the Gers.

Rangers thanks him for his commitment and efforts. Everyone at the club wishes him well for his future.

Rangers also thanks Liverpool for their assistance.

What happened?  Was he acting like a tit?  Or just not a good fit?

Right, but sometimes what's written in the paper is not the whole truth....  Maybe it is in this situation.  Just wondered if he was acting up or having discipline issues behind the scenes.

      Looked good when he played.

My mate has a season ticket said was yards better but didn’t always get why some donkey would clatter him.

What the F**k is it that makes anybody think the kid fu**ed up cos he’s coming home early......

Gerrard recently did he needs more quality to compete with Celtic. I'm guessing they will upgrade in the window, but it's odd not to wait

Apparently couldn’t hack the physical side of it there. Shame because by all accounts I think he was playing pretty decent.

Big mistake wanting to return though, there’s no way he gets a look into our side and he’s not at the level of Jones IMO and not even he has had an appearance yet. Not to mention the fact that if it is because he can’t hack the physical side of things, then maybe English football isn’t for him either.
Don’t really know who this benefits by him coming back early.

I'm afraid that he did a wrong decision because he was no chance to play here :/

He is a championship level player and will end up playing at that level so better get used to the physicality otherwise there will be no career for him in football.

If he can get another loan move in Jan then he will not find the Championship any less physical than the Scottish Prem.
Lets hope the lad looks at what he has being at Liverpool and that the light goes off inside his head and he finds a way to show us how good he really is.
Its tough for these young men money aside they need a lot of support from us especially if they are far away from their own families.
      Frankly, Mr Shankly

If it is just a case of him 'not settling in Glasgow' then that's bizarre because Glasgow is not exactly a world away from Liverpool. Strange decision and if there are no underlying reasons beyond that then it's looking quite poor for him in the long term.

On loan at Reading now. Let’s see if he bottles that before the season is over.

Some of the stick seems a bit harsh but I guess none of us know what really happened.

My mate - Rangers season ticket holder - said the first month he looked really talented but frustrated with the physicality; next two months he looked as if he’d adapted and was mustard (but picked up niggles) and the last month he just disappeared.....

Not sure what's up with Ovie. Saw him in a training video this week, but he wasn't in the squad for either of the friendlies. The rumour had been he would return to Reading. I happened to watch the highlights of a League Cup match three seasons ago where he started as a wide forward and he looked really accomplished. Not sure why he's fallen off so much but it doesn't seem he has a Liverpool future.

      Agree
Ejaria falls into the same category as Ojo, Kent and Wilson
All four have shown glimpses in preseason games over the years where they have looked promising and at times very good.
I am a romantic when it comes to Liverpool players and always want British youth players to show their worth, given a chance and to hopefully go on to be first team players for us.
The evidence to me is that 3 out of 4 of those aren’t gonna make it at our club, with Wilson being the one that may, just may be allowed to stay with us for the next 6 months at least to be given a proper chance.

Heard one or two rumblings that it's down to his attitude. I don't think he done himself any favours with bottling his loan move at Rangers. Whether it's the case or not, only those there will really know but it wouldn't surprise me.

Goodbye to Ejaria. Another one I lost any faith as soon as he was loaned out.

Best of luck to him after LFC though!
