People reacting to this deal like they were reacting to Manninger who could be our THIRD choice keeper . For this guy to get regular games a number of Sakho, Lovren, Matip and maybe Gomez would have to be injured. Surely that's better than some young kid from the academy who isn't very good?

I think Klopp looked at teams who kept clean sheets against us last season, saw that Augsburg was one of them and went with the centre back with the most games .
