Ha ha... that would be sweet alright Billy but it does go to show we sell more players to them (and West Ham  ) of late, than Barca; is that a good or bad thing? I'm not sure. 

In today's market, that £13m is a steal for Stoke. He'll star in their midfield.

Tidy player, unfortunately with his stature he'll always struggle against the bigger teams with the man mountains in the middle of the park - (Viera/Souness types).

To be clear: I'm not, repeat, not saying we should have held out for more or fu**ed about haggling: just that I believe that £13m will turn out to be a good price for Stoke and will prove to be a steal in today's market.

£13m is a snip for someone who played so well at the Euro's, but also a good deal considering only 1 year left on contract.

But Joe, why stoke, you can do better lad.

Yeah, it's funny what a few good games at an international tournament will do to some people's memory....

I like Joe -- seems a decent fella and always does his job when asked.  I was stoked when we first signed him as I thought he looked a real talent, but....  he was average at best for most of his time here.  He had a slight uptick in performance after Jürgen arrived, but I'm not sure what all the fuss is about....

Yeah, agree with that. I guess one year left on his contract lowered the price, otherwise he should've been closer to £20m on the back of his performance at the Euros. Stoke are quietly assembling a pretty decent team the past few years.

Allen could depart to Stoke within next 48 hours.
