He wanted out and he got his wish, of no further interest to LFC!

Stop being so petty. Gini served us well while he was here ... he moved on after his contract expired and sadly it hasn't worked out for him.

He's a good fella and was a diamond for us. I wish him well in his next chapter.

People disrespecting Gini on here ... probably the same people who still wax lyrical over a biting racist c*nt like suarez who disrespected the club time and again, went on strike, forced his way out by biting again and played up against us in the semi and took out Robertson.

      Wish Gini the best.

Nothing "petty" about the comment - he wanted to leave and events ran their course, the manager and the board saw fit to let the player leave, end of story.
Like so many players before him he found the grass is not always as green in other stadiums.

Love Gini and how good he was for us and i will always respect a player who honors his contract til the end. However, he made his own bed with his decision to chase the money and turning down a stay with Liverpool because he wanted more money/years.

Wish him well wherever he goes.

We would not take him back anyway. With Carvalho and Elliott we are deep, young and fresh in midfield.

It is sad to see him named alongside the long list of flops and mercenaries such as Herrera, Icardi and Gaye they are looking to offload. PSG really do suck the footballing soul out of so many players and it  represents so much that is wrong with the game. A cautionary tale, as others have mentioned, and one that underlines the importance of having the right values.

I do also think the extent of his fall, like Coutinho before him, shows just how good the manager was in taking him to the absolute heights of his potential, because a different set of circumstances in an inferior league has seen his level drop off a cliff. I think had they not both had the benefit of working under Jürgen they could have had very different careers.

Think I read last week before it was confirmed, he was refusing to take a cut in wage for the move to go through, shows what’s more important to him out of playing and money.

As the squad has needed refreshing, Klopp has let those that want something else move on.
I'm sure Mané will do well at Bayern, but for Gini and others there is a cautious tale.

it is very sad to see Gini quite low and realising what he did to his career. Hope he does well against our CL challengers but Maureen will just destroy him

He'll be the perfect midfielder for Mourinho.

To be fair, Roma isn't really 'low'. Not Liverpool level (but then again no other club is), but still pretty good.
I'll dare even say Mourinho seems to have found some of his mojo back with them.

He'll still destroy Gini's soul with his awful tactics though...

Not his fault getting injured, especially something like a broken leg and it can happen to any player at any time but this will now be the 2nd consecutive season with barely any game time. Leaving us was the biggest mistake he will ever have made in his career.

He wouldn’t have been much help tonight with a broken leg mate.
