He scored in one of my sweetest memories of Liverpool, the club and the city. New years eve, 31 December 2016, against Man City. I had trains booked to London and tickets to watch the fireworks, but convinced the missus - who had just arrived in the city from Brazil a couple days earlier - to stay in Liverpool so we could go to the game. And then bang, 1-0, a Gini header, in her first ever game at Anfield. She loved it. It was a freezing cold day but I'll always think fondly of it.
Why I'm talking about that, I have no idea, I guess I just wanted to say I really appreciate Gini Wijnaldum.
