Just read his comments. Sorry but he’s a clown if he really thinks people are going to believe he had to leave because some section of the “fans” abused him on social media.
Dejan Lovren took more abuse than probably most LFC players and he never named it as an excuse to leave. Does Gini really believe he won’t be abused by PSG fans if he doesn’t have a good game? Or maybe the giant money bags that get delivered to his house will make it easier to take?

I understand players not wanting to admit they moved for the money, but why do they have to treat supporters like mugs and come up with the stupidest excuses??
Just say you wanted a new challenge and your new club gives you a chance to do just that, then move on.

Wow. I’m shocked that Gini has taken this path not a very noble one for a lad who’s worn the armband. Always loved him as a player but don’t think he needs to go down this route to masquerade that he jumped for the extra Euros.

He got ripped on social media constantly - so I can see why he said that.

On FSG - the contract obviously wasn’t good enough for him so I guess that’s why he didn’t feel love

FFS Bobby Firmino has been almost chased out of town, Sadio Mane has been chopped up and spit out and those are just a couple examples from last season. So there’s a subset of muppets on Twitter that said mean things to you….sorry, when the price of admission is free you are going to let in some idiots. You got your big money move and you got the send off of a legend….take it and be happy and move on without trying to sling mud.

Love Gini and always will but this is pretty weak of him.

Seems a bit weak on Gini's part, although there was no shortage of sh*t being said about him. Always seems to be the case if a player is slow to extend their contract - people saying they aren't trying on the pitch etc. One of the problems of last season is that the real fans at the games - and we have probably the most supportive fans of of any big club in Europe - weren't there to drown out the internet noise.

Shame Gini has left the club, the vast majority of fans appreciated his efforts on the pitch.

He had good days snd got praise, and bad days he got criticised. Happens in just about every job, snd every walk of life.
Grow the F**k up, and take your pay day from PSG.

The whole Twitter social media fanbase is toxic

Yon can spot the toxic ones a mile away - they mainly have a fan page of one player , mainly are from foreign lands and mainly have FSGOut in their bio

Sadly you are always going to get a minority of idiots on social media who are loud and abusive and  feel they can get away with saying anything, which it is why it is not a reliable barometer of supporter sentiment.
