Desperate need for Napoli to do the business in a competition that has become woeful in the last few years. Might just make it interesting again.

Hopefully an Italian resurgence can fuel this competition to what it used to be.

Wow - Arsenal that is shameful! Let's just say the 'Wenger Out' crowd will not be going silent anytime soon!

Feel bad for Napoli in the other tie. This Real Madrid side, so devoid of intrigue and any real credibility, continue to prove that this competition has problems. Never known a CL winning side to win so much yet look so undeserving. cu*ts.

Don't get your argument,  intrigue and credibility? How has the competition got problems,  please expand,  just because you don't like a club it shouldn't cloud you judgment

I've lost respect for Sanchez. Second game running he's laughing on the bench as his team is getting tanked.

But arsenal - that was just dreadful. I know they 10 2 be awful at the knockouts but still..

Yep, agree, don't like to see that.  10-2 on aggregate. Monumentally embarrassing.

Predictably embarrassing from the perennial bottlers.

When Sanchez leaves, as I believe he will come summer, Arsenal are going to be well and truly up the creek...

      Massive change needed.

Wenger making excuses over the penalty. Lad, your team let in 10 goals over 2 games, scored 2. Whether that penalty was deserved or not, you have been destroyed whether you like it or not and deserve to be out.

He keeps getting subbed off and was benched vs us. I don't blame him for laughing when he is by far the best player and the only one who puts any effort in.

If a Liverpool player was laughing on the bench when we were losing 10-2 I doubt you'd be impressed.

Can't see Wenger surviving this, he should do the proper thing and announce his retirement.

True, but would we treat our best player the way Wenger is handling Sanchez? Majority of us didn't blame Suarez for wanting to go to Barca to be playing at the level he is actually at compared to where we have been at and Sanchez needs to be playing at a higher level than Arsenal. If I was in his position and had the manager handling the situation in that way, benching me for big games, taking me off a lot when I knew and everyone else knew I was carrying the team, I would be pissed and slightly pleased to see it backfire for the manager.

The laugh by Sanchez was probably a case of "oh god, is this really happening again". We've all been there, had a laugh of disbelief.

Didn't look like a laugh of disbelief. Also Sanchez already played for Barcelona - he chose to go to Arsenal because of the lure of 'Laandann' and all it's cosy metropolitan lifestyle. Doesn't deserve anyone's sympathy.

To be honest, I've seen a slight glimpse of it for a split second and that's it so can't say what it did or didn't look like

Not saying he deserves sympathy or anything though, just that you can't expect him to be all for the team right now when his time at the club seems to be heading towards a sour ending

Oh come on - I doubt this Real Madrid side will go down in the annals of history as superb. As I said - they lack intrigue or the credibility needed to be 'great'. A side that has won two in three champions Leagues should be great but they aren't. sh*t team to watch, sh*t supporters, corporate sh*t. CL has become almost a three team competition in recent years that has rewarded big money spinners more and more. In the last 7 years alone two of Barca, Bayern and Real have reached the last 4 - not the competition that it once was at the turn of the century.

At some bad times at work, I've told or laughed at a joke. Whilst sometimes inappropriate, the humour not the act, I think it's a profoundly human act.

Have you seen the squads of those teams. If we are aspiring to that, then we need to flag the interest of a multi-billionaire who will blow their own cash without fear nor favour.
Football like any other 'business' has gone down the road of outspending the opposition unequivocally. I watched Napoli - Madrid and was going for Napoli obviously but I realised; Ronaldo, Benzema, Bale, Kroos, Modric, Marcelo, Ramos, Carjaval, Pepe, Casemeiro with Isco, James, Morata on the bench. Is that a contest really?
