Still can't get over how he cheated the Ghanaian nation.
Didn't they have a penalty to win tho Dan?

Surely, the truth is, it was that goat Gyan, who missed that penalty, which cost Ghana?

Not that they would have won the cup anyhow and there's way more serious sh*t happening, on that continent, than a footballer handling a ball only for the kick taker to fluff it. 😕

If I were you I'd try to get over it. 😉

Dunno about that even without my rose tinteds on.

We had 45 minutes against that AC Milan side.

Barca had 90 at home against PSG
Plus that one was a final.

      Makes huge difference.

All you do on here is degrade everything in favour of a bizarre fixation with everything African football. If you're not having a cry w*nk over Mane coming back early from the ACL your presenting Victor Moses as the greatest player of all time. But now we've got a new one - castigating one of the most legendary players to have played for the club for a glorious match winning save?!

You really don't get this support Liverpool business do you?

      You are an odd fellow.

Yes, I love African football. Why wouldn't I? You are exaggerating for effect though aren't you? Moses the greatest football player? hardly. Because of my knowledge of African football though, I did know him to be a quality player, and he's shown that time and time again. My defence of him came because many ignorant liverpool fans fail to acknowledge him because of his Chelsea links.

Mane yes, I did wish him well. I recognise him as a quality player and one that deserves to achieve all that he can. He wanted to win the AFCON. I wanted him to win it for him. You have a problem because you wanted to spite him and see him fail and come home disappointed (he did) just because you wanted him to save Liverpool FC from self inflicted pains through poor management.

As for Suarez. Yes, legendary player through talent. But legendary through being an absolute disgrace of a player too. I said it when he was here, so nothing new. Sure, he was great for LFC, but that doesn't change who he is and my dislike for his cheating antics. I don't wear rose tinted glasses and just ignore how much of a cheat he is because he wore our shirt. I was ashamed of his diving when he was here, and it was certainly time for him to move on - with the disrespect he showed our club.

Yes they did, but a penalty is a penalty. The greatest players in the world miss a penalty. It's a lottery. A chance.

What he prevented through his cheating was a direct goal. A direct goal that would have sent his country out of the World Cup.

Simple. Sure, I move on, but I don't forget it.  ;)

Hate to say it but I think this even tops our Istanbul comeback. Incredible

      Hmm..

Club I love coming back in a final to win the 5th European Cup or a club I'm not massively arsed about coming back to get into the Quarter Finals.

Doesn't come close for me personally.  In fact our Dortmund game last year was better!

This lot ensuring there is spit in their food next time they're dining out in Paris:

Michael Owen celebrating a Barcelona win like only an ex-Real Madrid man could.

Michael Owen joining Man Utd like only an ex-Liverpool man could.

      Top guy.

Greatest comeback or the greatest bottle job of all time? Undoubtedly the latter as proved by this stat.

      https://twitter.com/JamesMcManus1/status/839612596764491779

Quite possibly the worst stat I have ever seen in football. PSG = joke. This is what they will be remembered for.

That is stunning, seriously thought you were taking the piss at first. Embarrassing and yeah it does look like they completely bottled it.

Bottle job by PSG no doubt Cavani and Draxler both well clear at goal to finish the job. Panicked defending from them too they never tried to play their way out of it hoping to concede possession give away niggling fouls and hope for the best.

Cavani has to be one of the most overrated players I've ever seen. Every time he's on the big stage he bottles it time and again.

It's not cryptic. Trapp gave the game to Barcelona. Look at the goals, even Messi's penalty and Neymar's for that matter. My instincts tell me he wasn't really trying to make saves.

Disagree, PSG were absolutely f**king awful, as I said in post above some of the stupid fouls they were committing towards the end is what done for them, look at the stupid challenge on the keeper for the free-kick that led to the winning goal and don't be fooled had they shown any attacking ambition at all in the game, some of their players would of gone down in the box as easy as Suarez and Neymar did!

Look at the goals again, look at Trapps decisions/positioning on all of them. Even the penalties, he had Messi's smothered. Neymar's free kick.

I'd say we have many in the house, but then I would wouldn't I. Honestly though watch Trapp on all those saves. It's not like its the first time German footballers or goalkeepers in general have been on the take.

So Trapp instructed his players to give away the free kick to Neymar? How about the penalty that Suarez won...was  that Trapp's doing as well? Did  he instruct his defense to continually give the ball away cheaply to  Barca?

If you were going to throw the game I don't think you would be giving the other players a script. No you make use of opportunity. I'm not saying its a fact, I'm saying look at his actions around the goals, to say he was poor doesn't cover it.

Quoting cannon fodder American sitcoms e.g. 'woop woop' and 'just stop', and I am the one to be discouraged from entering the conversation. You should think more broadly about it. Is it impossible Trapp threw that game .. no.
