      Transfer Deadline Day 2016-17

I always love deadline day, so maybe one thread to discuss all the moves from every club would be appropriate?

We should see our club involved in many outgoings. Yet to see if anyone comes in (doubt it).

The whole league will probably see plenty of transfers in this last 24 hours.

I used to be so excited on deadline days! Recently I've become a bit indifferent to it... and this year I couldn't be less excited :D

We used to cling on to hope of David Villa, David Silva and Mata coming to the club on deadline day.

Now we want our rejects to flog off :D

Getting Mario out the door has to be a priority. Some get Jürgen another coffee, this could take a while.

If we really want shot couldn't we just sack him and pay him off? We are going to end up paying most of not all his wages anyhow.

Either that or Jürgen should build the team around him.  :lmao:

No doubt clubs around Europe are fielding calls from desperate and clueless English clubs who want to buy Jonny x who looked good on a DVD and comes highly recommended by his agent who moonlights as a second hand car salesman.zzz......

There should be enough room to build the team around him now we have more seats in the new stand :P

Stupid of us to let him go, our backline will be full of midfielders after a couple of injuries.

It's not great watching all the teams around you doing deals on deadline day but to be fair to Klopp he got all our business done early.

How highly you rate the signings is subjective but he has brought in 7 new players already.

The Sakho loan is still baffling me. If it's something that's happened recently then why not just move on from it? Or if it's something you can't move on from then get him sold? If it's something Klopp has had planned all along then why didn't we cash in on him and spend money on a replacement?

If we get rid of Balotelli, Markovic, Wisdom and Ilori then FSG are going to be rubbing their hands raw.

      Yep, agree.

Interestingly, some reports saying Klopp wants Sakho to provide his discipline by going away and playing and proving himself. He won't play here.

Odd way of doing things. But there you go.

to be honest I hate deadline day due to last few deadline day experiences
torres request transfer and replacing him with carroll
      meirles the same
many missed deals on deadline day too for various reasons
will be happy with one deadline day good signing though, but I don't think it will happen
If klopp is happy with his squad , than I am too

Yeah I find it very strange. I've just wrote on Mama's player thread the following:

I find this all ridiculous but I do see a future at LFC for Sakho, hence the loan and not a sale.

I think this is Klopps way of saying to Sakho that he has to prove himself and he also needs to step up his game a bit. Klopp must see a player in him but can also see a problem with his attitude.

Sakho is a beast on his day I'd be sad to see him leave but if he went on loan for a season and come back a better player then we'd have to say Klopp knew what he was doing.

If Sakho goes on loan and eventually leaves, Lovren or Matip get injured next week and we end up with Lucas at CB for half the season and we finish 8th...different story.

Leaves us worringly and unnecessarily short at CB.

Dont worry mate, Coutinho aside we probably couldn't give the rest away!

A few loans away of a few misfits is all the business we will do today.

Fachts i'd say. Most of it already well documented. Look if it was Luis Suarez or of that importance we'd make certain allowances but he's not.

Just wish we'd get a replacement.

Melissa Reddy seemed to think a loan for Sakho was to protect his value with a view to a sale later. People may not like it but you can't really see this as anything other than Klopp doesn't want him around... at least in the short term.

Think he's done at Liverpool long term regardless of if he stays today or not.

Been interesting to see the cryarsing over this, I didnt quite get the massive surge in his reputation over the last year.

His distribution is excellent despite his body shape etc but he isn't really as good a defender as made out by loads. Get the impression his reputation surged as part of an anti Lovren and Skrtel thing as opposed to Sakho being an unstoppable defender.

Realistic (if we were interested) dream move: Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. We were linked earlier in the summer and his pace opposite of Mané would be fantastic. We saw first hand what he can do, I'm sure he'd be fantastic when given a run of first team appearances.

Can't be arsed watching Firmino, Coutinho and Sturridge wasted on the wing just because we only have one actual first team winger in the squad.
