In fairness mate he was proper average at times. I said at the time though (and I've been no fan of his) that that injury he had is a b@stard.  I really do think that not only did that contribute to his poor form, but that if we all knew how much it hurt we'd have been praising him for playing through the pain rather than for playing sh!te.

I can see the Chavs being much more of a threat after the break and it will be a  test of our game management and ability    to hold on to a lead.

Maybe it was underestimating the injury Mick, I've never had it or known someone with it but if he's picked in the first XI then I'll judge him on what I see and he was bang average for a long time. I've no issue in admitting when he's proving me completely wrong though too mate because it's a joy to watch him in this form, long may it continue.
