      Disaster group seek 'cover-up' damages
      Nov 25, 2016 05:53:17 pm
Hillsborough survivors and relatives of those who died have been given the legal right to pursue a damages claim over ''anguish'' caused by the disaster and ''the prolonged cover up''.

The 465 were granted a group litigation order at the High Court.
Heather Williams QC representing the group said they had suffered ''predominately psychiatric injury''.

The damages claim is a consequence of the April finding by an inquest jury that 96 Liverpool fans were unlawfully killed in the 1989 disaster.

As the cases progress it will be interesting to see how many more layers of deceit are stripped away and how far up the ladder of lies can further investigation climb.

Their only defense is to carry on lying. Should sue News Corp. as well. Their blatant lies must have caused extreme distress and anguish. What defense could they put up as they have more or less admitted they lied.

Negligence has, I believe already been proved by the Taylor report so it will come down to a ruling. Think a couple of  claims for damages has already been denied by the courts. So called Secondary victims suing for damages have a much harder job than the Primary victims.

Although I believe a Policeman on duty at Hillsborough was paid £330,000 as he claimed he had " delayed post-traumatic stress".

It was an out of court settlement. He was suing South Yorkshire Police. The Police are obviously funded by the taxpayer..

The officer concerned was a Mr. Martin long.

How many more of the South Yorkshire police,on duty that day, have received compensation. Don't know, like to know.

      ,

The only ''defence'' they can muster is as you say based on lies.
While the 27 years of seeking justice goes on for a great many, the documentary last night further exposing lies and conspiracy at the very highest, saw the likes of Bettison refusing to comment!!

Proven liars refusing to comment, knowing as they do that the faceless bas**rds who have backed the lies for 27 years are still there.

Indeed, but the lies do stick. I have been told several times over the years that "drunken LFC" fans were to blame, by people who don't even know who we were playing that day. That's the way it is.

Throw enough sh*te and some will stick. Tangled web etc. So many lies it's hard to keep up.

The sh*t did stick, it was bound to find some recipients the amount that was hurled about in the years following the tragedy.
Demands for an official enquiry were refused time and again while that sh*t was repeated but as we all know sh*t has no substance and does fall by the side.

Since the inquests in Warrington and the verdict of Unlawful Killing was arrived at and a specific statement saying there was no evidence to support claims that drunken fans were to blame, only the most bigoted or mentally unfit would believe otherwise.

The only lies in evidence are those by S. Yorkshire police force whose actions that day are under further scrutiny, the sh*t they threw was bound to impact, and soil temporarily, the truth on the other hand will stick.

      Hillsborough criminal suspects identified
Files on 23 people and organisations involved in the 1989 Hillsborough disaster have been passed to the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS), a second inquest in April last year concluded the 96 victims of the tragedy were unlawfully killed.

The jury also found match-commander, Ch Supt David Duckenfied responsible for manslaughter by gross negligence.

Prosecutors will now decide whether to bring criminal charges against the unnamed 23.

The wheels of justice grind relentlessly forward.
Hopefully Duckenfield is in the dock sooner rather than later.
