The most defensive team he has ever played. Has Klopp never played a Moyes team before?

      Got there in the end.

This was always going to be a tough match, and more teams will be setting up the same way, so we have to learn patience (which we showed today) and be clinical with our chances.

Good analysis by Klopp, makes the game very frustrating for the fans. No wonder Moysey has never won at Anfield.

Karius did very well today. My opinion here but Sunderland score or get a pen with Migs there.

Don't think we played badly just not to our (new) high standard.

30 points 13 games. Not bad at all. Half last seasons total in a third of the games and 6 points better off than 13/14.

Pleased for Divock. More pressure on Sturridge and his tight calves.

Had a feeling this would end 0-0. We showed some grit to keep going, well in reds.

Need to see Chelski dropping a few point soon though.

Another disgraceful performance from a visiting team.
At one point they had a line of 9 across the back..WTF!
What a boring shitty journey and performance those sad sunderland fans had to enjore today..
What an uninspiring ugly little toad of a manager moyes is...thinking he could play his 34yr old Defoe to win him the game and put his other centre forward at left back..genius..

Jürgen won us the game today !

Any news on our little magician?

He left on crutches with his foot in a protective boot and he needs a scan. Won't know anything until that happens. That's all we know right now.

Waiting to watch the highlights on MOTD.
Good to hear people saying Karius had a good game. What I heard on the radio made it sound like he had a bit of a shocker.

What?! Who were you listening to? Talksport perchance? Was quick off his line and his efforts to resolve sticky situations were fantastic. Gulf in quality between him and Mignolet is becoming even more apparent.

Just caught the interviews on SSN.. The mug thinks a 2-0 defeat was a good result. Small man, small team mentality.

He was actually celebrating the fact that he forced Klopp to gee up the crowd with his negative tactics. Embarrassing human!

Caught snippets on Radio5 and on Talkshit. Supposedly he was "hesitant" dealing with Sunderland's only attack, and also kicked a goal kick backwards for a corner. My impression was he was still looking a bit ropey.

Hesitant my backside, he dealt with Watmore comfortably. Didn't see the goal kick thing though because it was off camera.

Nor did I. Director was ogling Linda Henry rather than watching the football. One of these days a Sky dickhead is going to miss a goal because of ANOTHER replay (what is half time for?) or will be zooming in on some supporter unaware of the tv director's pervy eye.

He had a really good game.  Apart from this

      https://twitter.com/anfieldonline/status/802642716983181313

Word on Coutinho is that it's likely to be ligament damage and if it's a snapped one then it 'could' be 6 months.  We might wish he did break a bone.

When he gets sacked, which he will, then I think his days are over in the top leagues.  Media built him up at Everton as some kind of messiah.  He was F***ing terrible for them.  Media got him the Man Utd job just like they landed us with Hodgson.  That's what happens when you have suits in charge with no F***ing idea about the game.

      Thank f**k for that!

Found Klopp much more entertaining than the game today.

We eventually grounded that one out, after Klopp went ballistic at the Anfield crowd.  :D
