we have been using this method of buying players for as long as i can remember - replace rubbish with a bit less rubbish and try and overpay if possible too

I will tell you how it is different none of the above asked for a transfer, we approached the club and paid good money for them.
He in the mean time has had no offers and has told the club despite them offering him an improved contract and another year that he wants to leave.

As if Swansea are going to cough up what we're asking for him. I don't think they realise he's not a freebie like the rest of their transfers usually are.

If I was him I'd be hoping Southampton make us a very good offer. He doesn't deserve to be in the Championship which is where Swansea are heading.

All the same think we've got a bit of a cheek wanting £20M for him. Can you see Liverpool, one of the 10 richest clubs in Europe paying £20M for a guy with an attitude problem that hasn't kicked a ball in 8 months through his clubs choice? We wouldn't pay £8M for Ben Chilwell ffs
