A meltdown at Spurs is a big bonus for us.

Not a big surprise after the rant.

Why’s that? Allegedly he could have got up to 50 million in compensation if he hadn’t of negotiated a deal. Not bad for 6 months work. I’d be laughing all the way to the bank if I was Potter.

Hard one though, de Zerbi already tearing up the league with Brighton with a lot better style than Potter had. What do you judge him on?

It's win win for Potter, huge pay off and pretty much guaranteed a lower PL job with far less pressure could even go straight in at Leicester who knows?
Chelsea are a circus of a club ,they had a brilliant manager in Tuchel with a decent squad that only needed a few signings etc not the wholesale changes, ridiculous contracts and huge amount of players they have now..crazy club.
Football management is the only industry it pays to get sacked, how much must Rafa and Mourinho have made in pay offs?

I like Potter but Chelsea's plastic and chaotic approach to running a football club was never the right fit for someone seeking time to build a project.

Spurs would be mad to do that.

Which is why it'll probably happen.

The job he did at Brighton was still good. I like his style and approach.

It's easier to come into a club ready made with all the hard work put in by your predecessor. Not saying De Zerbi's success isn't worthy but he's very much living off the legacy and style that Potter implemented there.

I really like Potter and feel for him. That said, going to Chelsea was optimistic if he thought he'd be given time and commitment to implement his plans.
