There any plans of recruitment in January? I think it's much needed.

      It doesn't look like it.

Meh, only 1 0 down. We can do these tw*ts at Anfield.

If we play like that again we won't go close. They will certainly set up the same, what we gonna go about it ?

      F***ing great result that.

We should be out having lost that 3-0 no doubt.

I'll take that with as sh*t as we played tonight and a home leg to come.

We will play better next time.

      Couldn't agree more.

It's hilarious how much sh*t gets lost in the match threads.  As for weekend, totally different game and everyone knows we're game raising cu*ts  ;D

Retirement would be better for the likes of Lucas and Can

I don't ever want to see Can and Lucas in the same team
Woeful performance, if it wasn't for that normal defensive brainfart we'd have got a draw

Hugely disappointed with that im no fckin footy coach but even me with my limited knowledge can see that all  that aimless crossese and passing for passing sake is a waste of time .

Deffo take that ,redmond could have had a hatrick & karius kept us in the competition with his two crucial saves.

Result was better than our dismal performance.

Southampton may rue not having more than a one goal lead.

Can, Klavan, and Lucas the antithesis of pace. Finding it very hard to break down teams without Mane right now.
MOTM Karius with some outstanding saves that keep us in this tie.

Only positive is game time for young Phil. I wonder if he'll start Sunday. In most situations maybe he wouldn't but I think he will be much needed.

Saints could have won that 4-0 easily mate

But they didn't.  We are only down 1 goal and have 90 minutes at Anfield to turn it around.  This was probably the worst I've seen us play all season.  We need to bounce back, but it isn't over yet.

On a side note, it was shockingly obvious how badly we missed Mane....

Only 1 player can come away from this game with some credibility and that's Karius who done a good job answering some of his heavy critics tonight.
Everyone else. Terrible. No creativity, defence was shocking, movement was shocking, passing and dribbling was shocking. This game could have gone another 90mins and we still wouldn't have scored. Not good enough and these performances are becoming too much of a regular occurance since the City win.

Wish I was as positive as you. We have been poor for the last 3 games. That means poor form.

Just hope we can pick it up on Sunday.

You'd think so but those cu*ts haven't conceded for the whole EFL cup so expect a double decker bus and what happens then? We can't figure out how to beat it. So I'm definitely not going into the home leg thinking it's going to be a formality.

We never really looked liked scoring did we.On the bright side Southampton must be kicking themselves with only having a 1 goal advantage to bring to Anfield.

I don't think Southampton even parked the bus to be honest. We were just absolutely sh*t. Sturridge looked completely lost out there.

We are the luckiest team right now, our worst bit of form has come at the best time possible we have been absolutely sh*t in the last 3 games and somehow still in a good position in all competitions. We have somehow gained a point on Chelsea, FA Cup replay against Plymouth and only a goal down and at home in the league cup semi.

We could have easily been 4th in the league and out of both the cups and title race and in the usual dogfight for 4th 5th 6th position.

We this week we reached a tipping point with number of players playing out of position or being unavailable (Coutinho, Firminho, Mane, Lallana, Henderson and Matip) and it showed. I really don't think we can play worse than this!

Bright side: we now have two goalies playing fairly well... latest for now.

We desperately need a Mane replacement which will also bring Bobby back to the middle, whether that's Ojo or a new player, only the boss knows.
