Take Can and Firmino off, put Origi and Sturridge on and change to a 4-4-2 diamond. Henderson at the base, Coutinho at the tip, Wijnaldum and Lallana on the flanks. Right now it's just not working.

?? Firmino has been one of our best players, winning the ball back etc, I'd take Can off, move Lallana back into midfield and bring on Origi or Sturridge. I still see us winning this game handsomely, just need that first goal.

All gone a bit flat hasn't it.

I don't see what Can brings to these games (the bus parkers), that Lallana doesn't in midfield, freeing up a spot for an individual like Sturridge.

Work-rate isn't going to cut it, Sturridge must come on, then hopefully their keeper will at least be tested.

I agree with this. Can wants to take 8 touches before he looks to do something, slows down the play every time.

So little patience within our fan base.

Change this, change that, should be doing this not that.  This isn't working, that's not working.

Not every attack or period of possession has to end with a shot on target, goal, save.  Not everything has to be at hundred miles an hour.

I'm enjoying it, it's how we've been playing all season minus the goal fest but that doesn't mean the goals won't come.

Listening to this on R5L, apparently the view across the Pennines is quite wonderful from the new stand.

I guess that sums up the 1st half then.

Without Mane we have not threat in behind which for me means that Original needs to play and that would enable Lallana to operate in centre mid where he has been excellent this season. I wouldn't have started with Can.

Swansea have the worst defence in the league. On the pitch and on paper.

Why from 1 man missing - who we all knew would be going to the AFCON, are we so severely lacking in pace to get in behind a team?

When we do create a chance, who's goinv to put it away?

Our days of hammering anybody are gone, it's hard work all the way now. This team at the moment will not keep in the top 4. It will stuggle against anybody.

Pray for a penalty I think.

Appreciate the sentiment, Debs, but it's not the same.

It's much slower, less movement and our midfield isn't productive in getting the ball to the front three.

Thought we would have issues with that midfield, just no creativity without Adam in there.

All managers have that one player who just makes you think wtf. Bredon had it with Allen (I'd rather have Allen tbh)

Drop lallana back, take Can off, put Studge on.
Better service from the mid, and s bit of fast feet trickery up top !

Need a goal urgently, or they gonna gain more and more confidence to have a go and they've looked dangerous at times.

We seems to have lost that bite in the final third. Not sure what is happening, we ued to be so ruthless. No passes coming from midfield thru the middle to the front runners, everyball towards the flanks while crosses ended up nowhere. For a while I thought we still have Crouch. I'd get Origi on to harass their defence, we're simply giving their defence an easy time.

I'm a patient person, it's all good and well being patient, but nothing is happening.

Everyone can see what's going wrong and Milner is a problem for me at the moment (Clyne is too of course). It's piss easy for Swansea to defend against him right now. They don't have to stretch their back four to cover him because he cuts inside anyway and one of their midfielders just has to come out a bit. That way they just keep things tight and the center packed.

He has to go outside and I don't care how he gets the ball into the box, he can even bang it in with the outside of his right foot, but he has to get to the back line and cross it in instead of always swinging it in towards the goalkeeper. He needs to pull someone out to create a bit more space and cause some f**king mayhem in their box.

I'd even get Moreno on and switch Milner to the right to shake things up.

Yeah it's a similar style but the reason the goals aren't coming is the lack of penetration. We also have Firmino who would miss from a yard out rather than Firmino who was scoring at a good rate.

Bringing Sturridge or Origi might help IF!!!! they can find their pace in their game.

It's very difficult to break down teams who put 11 behind the ball, almost impossible if you don't possess anybody who can take players on and take them out of the game.

The full bacls don't help. Clyne suffers from an outrageous lack of ability and Milner is on his wrong foot.
