I see that too KK but so hard to criticise this lad, no one’s perfect as we all know. From your knowledge as a Liverpool fan do you know if he’s happy as a No2.

For the time being I think he’s happy enough as 2nd choice whilst he’s still establishing himself. As far as I’m concerned he’s the best 2nd choice keeper there is in the league, wouldn’t swap him with anyone. But, sooner or later there will come a time that he isn’t content with being 2nd choice and wants to be playing week in week out, or at least I hope that’s the case because if not then he will be wasting his career a bit just playing here and there, so it will come down to whether or not he displaces Alisson or if he moves on elsewhere.

I have him pretty much established KK, could see him getting in a side like Villa with SG at the realm.  :D

      Realm 😂

To be honest though I think he’s a great little prospect, but I couldn’t see him outing Martinez from Villa number one

What is impressive  is the lack of game time he has and yet able to look as comfortable  as he did . A decision will need to be made soon as clubs will sniff around and sure he will want more game time

      Not right now, no way.

Unless we off him plus cash for Martinez? Would love to see him here. I reckon Martinez would fit us nicely. Amazing keeper.

in this era playing out from the back which goalkeeper does not make mistakes. He makes so many saves he is at this point irreplaceable

Kelleher looks the real deal to me. Physically still fairly slight for a goalie is maybe the one thing against him. Ali is obviously still no 1, but if Kelleher gets a run of games at some stage I think he could give Ali some genuine competition. (He is more assured on the ball than Ali for me, looks less likely to make a mistake. But not as physically imposing.)

Hopefully he is happy to stay here as understudy for another couple of years, because he does have a chance of becoming our no 1 in the long term in my opinion.

The beauty here is he will still get international call ups if hes not playing for us. He has pressure from Bazuna to be Irelands number 1 but its a 2 horse race.

I think hell stay at least until it fets to the point where he feels he deserves to be ahead of Ali but isnt

Crazy to read, but probably true, him being better on the ball. That was Alis beat trait 3 years ago. No its one of his worst. Definitely is why Ederson starts over him for Brazil at this point

Love the kid to bits. We got our long term man in the squad for sure

He's more likely to leave than be our starter unless we are ready to move on from Alisson over the next couple of years.

Alisson is 29 which is still young enough for a goalie where he could easily play at a high level for a few more years. Kelleher is 23 already, so is he going to be ok being backup until his late 20s? Probably not.

      He's doing well.

I think we'll be in the market for a decent, experienced number two in the summer so we can let him go out on loan to a PL club for a season.

      Take stock after that.

He did very well but there is no way in the world right now he should be number one in front of Alisson

      Agree.

He was fantastic but Allison is another level again.

      Quote from 7-King Kenny-7
Very good performance again from him. My only criticism would be that having watched back the Pulisic goal a few times now, think Kelleher could’ve come out more and put a bit more pressure on him instead of just standing on the 6 yard line. One of Alisson’s best attributes is his ability in a 1v1 situation, he doesn’t give the attacker any time at all.

He was flapping about at home against Villa which could have easily cost another two points, and miskicking clearances at Spurs which did cost us two points. Add in the poor goal he conceded last week and the meltdown at West Ham which cost us three points each, and he isn't what he used to be.

He was well beaten for both goals yesterday, but the last time Kelleher went to Stamford Bridge in 2019, the PL2 team lost 3-0. So considering that nobody wants him to play at all, he was excellent yesterday in a high intensity game. His first save was the save of the season so far imo. He kept his head and was man of the match for us again while other, more experienced teammates were just trying to keep theirs in front of him.

He's had an absolute mare month and as a keeper that can't be tolerated. He has to be dropped to wake him up. Fans have made him unquestionable.

      But we don't need him!!

Alisson and Kelleher are sound. Martinez was that good he would of been getting games for Arsenal ages ago.

      Most keepers do.

Alisson still one of the best goalies in the league.

Now list all the times he's saved us with saves this season bellend?
