In my teenage rampage years lived in Cork hitched up the east coast to Dublin with mate and our two Scally girls ( both from Rainhill Stoops) and slept in Phoenix Park ...in a shelter ...for a month in the summer.
Couldn't do that now.
Lived on the South Circular then Rathmines and wait for it .... Dublin's own West Beirut ....... Finglas.
Great craic.
Why on earth was you living in a shelter for a month.

I spent nearly every second weekend over there buying greyhounds to bring back to Manchester.

one weekend I did a round trip starting in Derry to watch some pups run. Ended up buying two of them.

Then it was Dundalk but that ending just looking at a few with no purchase. Then it was off to one of my favourite tracks Newbridge. I only say favourite ( tight bends ) because I bought my best ever staying dog from there by a man who always drives a hard bargain

Eugine Price.
From Newbridge it was a short trip to Carlow to see a breeder. That nite we went racing at Limerick, following day it was Cork, stayed in a hotel near Clarkes Bridge, the surrounding near the waters edge were a joy. I just got on with the Irish so well. Didn't make a difference what side of Ireland they were from.
From Cork it was then Waterford which I ended up with another K9 to bring over the water

Boy!! brought some memories back typing this Miro thank you
