Very good performance again from him. My only criticism would be that having watched back the Pulisic goal a few times now, think Kelleher could’ve come out more and put a bit more pressure on him instead of just standing on the 6 yard line. One of Alisson’s best attributes is his ability in a 1v1 situation, he doesn’t give the attacker any time at all.
He was flapping about at home against Villa which could have easily cost another two points, and miskicking clearances at Spurs which did cost us two points. Add in the poor goal he conceded last week and the meltdown at West Ham which cost us three points each, and he isn't what he used to be.
He was well beaten for both goals yesterday, but the last time Kelleher went to Stamford Bridge in 2019, the PL2 team lost 3-0. So considering that nobody wants him to play at all, he was excellent yesterday in a high intensity game. His first save was the save of the season so far imo. He kept his head and was man of the match for us again while other, more experienced teammates were just trying to keep theirs in front of him.
