Paulo Alves Player Thread

Thought I'd best get a thread up for the lad after his unexpected callup to the 1st team last week.

I haven't seen much of him as he's played mainly with the u18s since joining but he is clearly a skillful player.  He is known to Pep Ljinders who coached him whilst at Porto.

Paulo Alves is a talented midfielder from Portugal who joined the Academy in the summer of 2015.

Also known as Paulinio, he is a regular member of Michael Beale's U23 squad.

Alves spent seven years with FC Porto's Academy and in 2014-15 got senior experience playing for local side Sanjoanense, who are in the third tier of the Portuguese league.

He has an eye for a pass and will hope to make a big impression in Kirkby.

Liked the look of him against Ipswich last week, took his chances well. There must be something if he gets called up so early, still, Ive stopped getting my hopes up about our young uns since Pacheco!
