The more I see of this lad, the more I think he has what it takes.

Big season for him, this, and hopefully he's up to the challenge.

Wonderful ability, a cool head, good passer and link up play, and a real eye for goal.

Have felt that way also, but he's in a bit of a rough patch just now. Klopp gave him a verbal barracking during today's game. All part of developing him but I'm not as certain now we'll be seeing him with the first team in the near future.

well if that is true, then we really are short of cover in attack.

Oh geez, that didn't last long. Every day of training and every match is a new chance to grow into it. Any player under Klopp is subject to being shown how they can improve.

??? You were the one saying you don't think he'll get many matches and I was just responding to that. I actually don't share your pessimism about him, I think he'll play a significant part this season, a very exciting talent.

Beware the subtle change of meaning.  Even in the post you mention I said I feel the same way about him (positively). Just reminding he is developing and still subject to reproof (which he got). Players for Klopp have to do their bit in the press. He may not make the 18 tomorrow, but then comes the next match. That's the "near future" I talk about.

Hopefully he gets in and bags a goal vs City.

ah, of course I should have understood that for you "near future" means one match whereas for the rest of humanity it means quite a significant period of time.

Klopp had also mentioned  earlier about Brewster needing to catch up with the rigors of.training. look, I am very optimistic about Rhian's future, beginning this season. Klopp and staff have been preparing him for this for well over a year and he stands out from our other youngsters. When he starts playing regularly I don't know, but he will begin making an impact soon, I have no doubt.

You guys ever heard of a storm in a teacup?

Klopp has shouted at every single forward he's ever had out on the pitch at one time or another. Not defending properly from the front is unacceptable. Sure Brewster knows this and will learn how to defend in that role properly.

Really looking forward to seeing Brewster get his debut. Quietly confident that he's going to make himself a very key part of the squad this year.

Sounds more and more like Rhian will go on loan in January. Probably best for him although I hope we at least wait until after the FA Cup third round match (and the League Cup semifinal if we happen to beat Villa in the quarterfinal).

I hope it isn't a case where his injury ultimately keeps him from realizing the potential that he once held.

      What happened to this lad?

In the Summer, all the talk was about this lad taking a spot in the 1st team, and I got slammed by the usuals for suggesting that he was over hyped.

Bizarrely missing from the Villa match, and now being sent out on loan.

Is he finished? What's the story?

He was injured for the Villa game.  Sending him on loan has been on the cards for a while.
