      Fans outside Anfield

      https://twitter.com/GlennPrice94/status/824324026109661188

Anfield waiting for the fans to be No. 12

Starting XI: Karius, Alexander-Arnold, Lovren, Matip, Milner, Henderson, Can, Lallana, Coutinho, Firmino, Sturridge

Subs: Mignolet, Moreno, Lucas, Origi, Klavan, Woodburn, Wijnaldum

Joel Matip returns to Liverpool’s starting line-up as one of four changes made by Jürgen Klopp for tonight’s EFL Cup semi-final second leg against Southampton at Anfield.

Matip, whose last start came against West Ham United on December 11, partners Dejan Lovren at the heart of the Reds’ defence, with Loris Karius, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Daniel Sturridge also coming into the team following Saturday’s meeting with Swansea City.

Ragnar Klavan, Simon Mignolet and Georginio Wijnaldum are named on the substitutes’ bench, but Nathaniel Clyne is ruled out due to the same rib/abdominal injury that forced him to miss the trip to Manchester United 10 days ago.

That's the line-up we all wanted with Lallana in the midfield and Firmino/Studge/Couts up front!

Not sure, there is a saying that the team is only as strong as the weakest link. This team has Karius and Arnold who are quite unproven so say the least.

No Van Dijk, as expected. Come on Reds. We can do it but the supporters need to voice their faith in the team.

I'll say the same as I did about Lucas last week (in the hope that he scores a goal).. can't believe that Can is in that team.  What does he bring to the side?? :f_steam:

No van djik for them but still a strong side even without Him by saints, need to shackle Tadic, Redmond, & Rodriguez who caused us a lot of problems in the first leg .
      Come on redmen.

Agreed mate, only difference from the team I put up is Can for Wijnaldum. I can live with that as I don't think Wijnaldum has been that great recently and Emre has been hot and cold. Due a good performance from him and at least he has Lallana beside him to speed play up if he dawdles.

Be nice to see us start off with Bobby central, think that could be really key.

      Let's smash 'em!

Clint any chance you can start to put the other team in your threads as well as I like to see what we are up against.

Cheers mate and great work on the openings as always.

      Can over Wijnaldum, seriously ...

As for our front line, Firmino as our #9 and Sturridge wide forward please, and none of his playmaking sh*t from Sturridge, we don't need him to drop off, we need him attacking the opposition and making runs behind.

Hate to say it, but TTA for Clyne is also a plus for me, he has been atrocious so the youngster can only benefit.
