Hate to see any of our managers become an isolated figure due to poor form, and Klopp really needs support now.

Having said that, he's obviously been the catalyst for this awful awful run, and I think a lot of it is down to his naivety with the English game.

He's still a novice here, but hopefully he can learn from this - going out of two cups within the space of a few days, seeing us lose 3 consecutive home games and one win from nine since the turn of the year, simply isn't good enough.

Season's over for silverware and it isn't even February.

      Gutted.

I agree, as our Spanish neighbor, Pepe at man shitty, is quickly finding out, with a better team, in my opinion.

I am totally shattered by that result, won't be reading any press reports, won't be listening to any sports news and I'm turning my mobile off. I've already had 3 texts from bitter blues.

When the players strolled for 80 minutes and passed the ball backwards and sideways without any urgency even 2 goals down suggests that either they care less playing for the club or that they felt that they have reached the summit of their career or that the overall squad isn;t good enough. Time for Klopp to use the sledgehammer and time for Klopp to drop the fatherly figure and adopt the Benitez style and sell those underperformers. At least Rafa got us to 2 CL finals and nearly won us the league. I'm also asking the question, has Klopp underestimated the lower league teams and too confident for his own good. Going by the results lately it could be the case. We can't be going from hero to zero in such a short space of time.

You're 100% right in that post mate.

People are so fickle they'll cling onto any tight rope to bail us out from the garbage can we are.

Klopp now has a worst percentage win than Rodgers and has a worst start than LVG in the same number of games in charge. #perspective

Seriously how sad a life do you have to come on to a Liverpool forum to mock?

Weren't you the one who accidentally posted a link to a  PornHub video on the players thread, swiftly deleted it and backtracked claiming 'it was just a joke?'

We're in a real mess at the moment. Stuck between having too much meaningless posession meaning team can camp out and repel us, only for them to be able to attack with numbers and catch us short on the break.

Klopp: "It was a very bad performance, we started bad, it didn't get better. There are not a lot of good things to say today."

Unlike those that were suggesting he might take the 'character' approach it's good to hear him front up to it.

As others have said though he has to take this one on the chin a bit, that defense was asking for trouble from selection and played like it. I thought he should have taken Origi off at half-time (before anyone tells me he scored a tap in, he also missed a sitter after that and the credit for the goal should go to Sturridge more than Origi). I also think that we can conclude that neither of those starting full-backs should ever start again for our side.

Another thing I will note is that the crowd were pretty anonymous until the last 5 minutes, which isn't really good enough no matter who the opposition is (no blame to them but they could have helped).

Yep, very poor day at the office that will take some recovery from because that is simply not good enough.

      Poor that

Serious step back and look at ourselves needed, the squad balance it's becoming obviously exposed.

What I don't get is during Novemeber I think it was Jürgen spoke about needing wingers.. He'd spoke of it before that too, January comes and we don't add any? I don't get that when it's clear to f**k we need them and the manager spoke of it a while ago on more than one occasion, there must be some out there.. So I don't get why we haven't done anything tough window or not, break the f**king bank if need be because at those rate our season is falling off of a cliff.. It's a difficult window yes but it's hurt us again as a policy from the club not to go all out in it.
The wide options again today just showed up our lack of width in the side, Woodburn and Moreno offering width in that second half... They aren't the most difficult to defend against.. Then it filters inside and it becomes impossible to go through a bank of 10 players
But the manager pointed it out a couple of months ago so he's aware too...  :confused-smiley-013:

Look we have to stay together though, every single fan wanted Klopp, you can't seriously be at the point of turning already? That's f**king embarrassing.. And it's no point saying people aren't, they are.. It's clear and it's wrong. Just over a year he's had, and this squad, it's clearer and clearer isn't strong enough so he needs longer to get more in.. That's frustrating for us, I'm f**king gutted right now but don't turn, have faith, be gutted but stick together..

      F***ing rubbish today..

Tell you what though it's another indication of the sh*te world of modern football, I have no doubts that the owners don't care about domestic trophies, what they care about is champions league football. Remember when we won the league cup under Kenny and lost the FA cup final? it was said that he would have gone even had we won it.. What they wanted it top four and not arsed about the cups.. Know why? Because if you win it you get £1.8m in prize money.. That's about 3 months wages in Coutinho's new deal, that's why they don't care, it doesn't make financial sense to them. So I have no doubt that when a manager comes in and has targets set out its around qualifying for the CL and the cups have no relevance in those conversations.. So people questioning why we keep making all these changes for these ties it's because it's no priority, the manager is told his priority is the league and final league placings and that is why the games around it take priority. Foreign managers too who's leagues don't rally focus on domestic cups come in and think, well the owners have set my targets and the cups are a bonus... There is simply no incentive from the club or set upon the manager to worry about it because there is no financial reward
It's only us who want a shiny pot and a day out, not these money leeching cu*ts who have tagged on to modern days moneyfootball

all comes down to money nowadays, money why we haven't broke the bank to rectify the squad, money why we don't take games like this seriously

can we get rid of the 'VOTE MAN OF THE MATCH' or at least add to it so that it can be fair - add 'NO ONE ON OUR TEAM' as an option

can think of anyone who played well or done anything even considered to be worth a mention

3rd defeat in week - all at home

i have seen zero reaction from any of the defeats

What upsets me the most is that after we already got rid of so many deadwoods last summer there seems to still be many more in the club at the moment. Unless we have another major reinforcement this coming summer, we're gonna be in deep sh*t again next January.
      F***ing depressing.
