Well it's been said before, we compete and more often beat sides in the top 6, and struggle to get the breakthrough against the lesser sides. Mainly because they park the bus, and we fail to break through a mass, well disciplined defence.
Well we showed our capabilities once again against the rent boys, where for long periods in the game we were the better side, and we created the better goal scoring opportunities.
Now we have to show we are the real deal, and get a result against one of the potential cock ups. I think we will need to score early, as they won't want to settle for a 1-0 loss. They will try and have a go which will play into our hands. But can we get that early breakthrough. The longer it goes on, the more resilient, determined and confident they will become.
Bloody hate these games, nervous as F**k, as we all know we are the far better side, but possession and pressure count for nothing without goals.
Mane is gonna help us with width and pace, but the must for me is Lallana dropping back into the middle with Hendo to get a bit more service to the front line, with Hendo doing the covering. No place for Can for me, this game is as important as the Chavs game. A must win, so no passengers regards the work rate. If its not going great, perhaps change Millie with Moreno second half to generate a bit of pace on the left as well.
Gotta win, that's all. By any means. Gone for a 1-3 myself, but thats hope more than belief. Can't wait for 5 o'clock now.
Do I want arse to beat chavs? Usually want a draw there, but with arse likely to go into meltdown at the end of the season, hope they win today to help us close on the chavs.
