Have to agree with littleface and add that I think that it took Mane to tow the whole team forward and drag the performance out of them... Great win but as littleface said do the same against Leicester

Well then you and littleface are talking utter sh*te.

I'm dreaming, as that's where yesterday's match has left me.

I'm dreaming that this time the break won't halt the progress we showed against Spuds.
I'm dreaming that all our lads come back fit, fresh and motivated for the run in.
I'm dreaming that Chelski draw or lose a couple more away games in the next few weeks and we keep winning, and that that gap steadily shrinks as we get to the last few games of the season. Pressure, you see.  The pressure that comes from having to look over your shoulder at the rapidly-closing juggernaut of LFC.
I'm still dreaming, Liverpool, in spite of what you did to me in January.

I guess I'll never stop.  As long as there's the slimmest chance.  Dream on, Dream on with hope in your hearts.

good victory, we played with a high tempo, quicker passing and closing down and with Mane in the team we can get in behind.

positive that we kept a clean sheet and we could of scored more.

hopefully we use this and kick on

still concerned with our ability to let teams in fairly easily, we seem to switch off too easily and not be danger averse

What a win, it could have been 5-0. Still buzzing, so so proud of the team to put that performance in.

I'd like to thank Klopp for listening to me. Ahem
      (Lovren injury aside etc etc)

      NB: Team no longer available

I thought the team worked best when Lallana played a deeper role.
      That means no Can.

Saturdays performance makes me scratch my head even more about the past month. Still can't work than one out.

Perhaps this is the difference?... Henderson led the team.  :f_whistle:

Adam Lallana has explained how Liverpool’s first-team squad held a players-only meeting in the build-up to Saturday’s clash with Tottenham Hotspur in an attempt to return to form after indifferent recent results.

Led by Jordan Henderson, the captain called the team discussion in the Melwood dressing room on Thursday, where Liverpool’s displays in 2017 to that point were calmly analysed and solutions for getting the Reds back on track were sought.

Klopp held a similar meeting recently but no change in our results. Henderson holds a repeat meeting, excludes Klopp, and suddenly we win the game.

So what of Gini's through ball and the chances that led to Mane scoring on a re-bound after some last ditch keeping?

It was a team performance, harsh on the lads to say it took Mane to tow the team forward because everybody was pulling their weight, regardless of who managed to get the goals.
As stated Mane draw the performance out of  the team, Gini too

We have to continue to do the right thing from now, that is to get 3 points from every game, regardless of the opponent. We must not be worried of how other teams fair but remain focus on our own performance that we can take control of. Every opponent, from now on must be taken very seriously, doesn't matter whether they are in the top 6 or in the relegation zone. We must continue to collect as many points as possible and not spend time worrying over others that we can't do a thing about it.

I remain optimistic that from the Spurs game and from the recent slump, I'm sure the lads know what is needed of them and Hendo coming out to provide the motivation to the players is well timed.

Onward and forward in our last lap to get to the top 4.

If we lose to Leceister next Monday all this will be in vain. We need continuity. Only then we can reach the CL which will be key to add one or two top players.

      A fortnight away yet!!

Nope the lad's spot on, had Gini down pretty much as my motm as he ran, battled and won everything in midfield. Seriously one of his best performances for the redmen since he moved from Newcastle.

Not denying Gini was boss, far from it. What I am saying is that it was actually an all round team effort for a change, we weren't relying on just 1 or 2 players to drag us on, everyone contributed well to this win.

Leicester have yet to score in 2017 in the league. We ARE NOT going to lose to Leicester. They are completely at sixes and sevens and are still in "we are champions" mode from what I've seen of their play...

New to supporting the reds are you?
We are the best team to play when you can't buy a win or a goal. Sorry to be a miserable pr**k but One win out of 6 hasn't changed my mood. Still think we should have tried to beat wolves at home And have more than 3 F***ing games in February

Never said it wasn't an all-team effort, but most would have had Mane as motm, but Gini was an absolute beast in midfield and to be honest I hope he kicks on and performs like that a lot more. Some of the others we know can play to that level, I just haven't seen it enough from Gini, hence going slightly overboard over his performance.

But saying that, the spurs performance means F**k all if we don't kick on now and do it against leicester etc.
