Liverpool 2-0 Tottenham Hotspur: In game and Post Match discussion
      Feb 11, 2017 04:36:53 pm

Georginio Wijnaldum returns to Liverpool’s starting line-up as they make one change for the Premier League clash with Tottenham Hotspur at Anfield.

He replaces Emre Can in the XI in the only alteration to the team deployed at Hull City last time out.

Adam Lallana has recovered from a knock to take his place in midfield, though Lucas Leiva continues in defence with Dejan Lovren ruled out and Ragnar Klavan only deemed fit enough for the bench.

Liverpool: Mignolet, Clyne, Matip, Lucas, Milner, Henderson, Wijnaldum, Lallana, Mane, Coutinho, Firmino. Subs: Karius, Moreno, Klavan, Can, Alexander-Arnold, Origi, Sturridge.

Mignolet and Lucas again - let's hope Spurs don't get close to our box.

At least Gini is back in for Can though.

I'll go out on a limb and say I'm glad Mig has kept his spot.

If Klavan is fit I'd be playing him instead of Lucas, but guess he is maybe still not 100%.

      Otherwise the team is fine.
We can beat Spurs. We've shown it against the better sides. The main problem going into this game is low confidence. Get over that and are still well capable of getting 3 points.

Surprised no Gomez. Two of our CB's lack pace, it's gonna be a worry, but no qualms on our midfield and attack.

Just hoping Migs doesn't go and do... well, a Migs.

      Should have been dropped.

Sturridge should have got the nod over Bobby too, who hasn't looked like scoring in a month of Sunday's...

Thought Karius might start. But apart from that, pretty much as expected. Might have started Can, purely cause Spuds are strong and we don't want to loose 'the battle', but going with Lallana is a more positive attacking option.

CMON LADS!!!!!!! Let's turn this around :kop5cf8koxp6:

Can right to be dropped, well done boss, surprised Migs is keeping his spot though I must admit.

      Otherwise I like the side.

Now let's smash these fuckers from here back to London.

Totally disgusted at Klopp. Karius makes mistakes, gets dropped. Mignolet makes mistakes, retains his place. It's no wonder certain players don't play to their full ability when they know no matter what happens, they're not getting in the team.

Definitely, seeing how results have panned out today. Gooners gifted a ridiculous goal and scum too much for Watford. Would like to spuds getting mashed (see what I did there?) 😎

But I can't see it happening...

Didnt think Mignolet would get dropped glad Lallana made it big worry with Lucas CB not blessed with much pace up top so hoping able to cope its the aerial threat from set pieces I worry about. Come on boys we can do these
