Can't see Sturridge surviving all these training sessions, my money is on him coming home first.

For real? Time to cash in then....  ;D

The striker joined his teammates on the trip to Spain earlier this week eager to participate in the daily double sessions, despite feeling unwell.

So, unwell before travelling there. But cue the disgust..

Thought being in a warmer climate would be better for his virus to clear up?.

Top be fair was a fairly easy one, I wouldn't have got any decent odds on that prediction!

Medically there would be no reason for that to be the case, especially if he already had it or contracted it before he left (likely).

Doesn't work like that sadly - best to get him home and away from infecting Sadio.

This Sturridge lad is massively unlucky.

Lovren recently had a virus and missed a PL game. Fair enough - no biggie.

Sturridge however happens to pick up a virus at the time when the squad are heading to Spain for training. Massive uproar. Reported everywhere, and the lad is getting slammed all over the Liverpool FB page.

      Bad timing hey?!  ;)

Klopp did an FA Cup style draw to see which players got roomed together. He decided to mix it up from the usual (players staying in their own rooms).

      A few of the 'roomies':

      Henderson & Ojo - Milner & Mane - Lallana & Manninger - Firmino & Karius - Mignolet & Masterson

I think it's a great idea for the players to get to know some of the players they might not normally mix with. I'd love to know who the odd one out was originally rooming with :D.

Jürgen Klopp conducted an FA Cup-style draw to determine the sleeping arrangements on Liverpool's warm weather training camp in La Manga.

Players usually have their own rooms on away trips but Klopp decided he wanted them to share during their four-night stay at the five-star Hotel Principe Felipe as part of his team-building exercise.

Reds captain Jordan Henderson is in with Sheyi Ojo, while vice-captain James Milner has Sadio Mane for company.

“We had this little funny gimmick. Bringing the players together by putting them in twin rooms,” Klopp told the ECHO.

“It wasn't a free choice! I picked the names out of the hat.

“Lallana and Manninger. Henderson is with Ojo, Milner with Sadio. Firmino and Karius – nice room!

“Simon Mignolet is with Conor Masterson, I'm not sure that Simon even knew Conor before this trip. But after four days here he really will.

“The players are learning more about each other. Everything has been perfectly organised.

“We've had a few meetings and we'll have a few more of them. I'm enjoying it and I think the players are too.”

Stuff like this seems trivial but it's really leadership 101 in how to get people to assimilate and create a stronger team. Great move by Jürgen.

I think there was definitely elements of tampering going on to keep the big named players away from each other.

Reckon Jürgen was warming up some of the balls.a
