Hate to agree with you but so poor was our performance against Leicester that I just can't see our traditional bounce back in a bigger game.  Hope I'm more positive by kick off time!

Just had a look at some of the pictures from training today.

Lovren back in training but not sure whether this qualifies for Jürgen's rule over the number of days of training?

Couldn't see Daniel Sturridge - surely the lad isn't still out?

Looks like we might see Harry Wilson on the bench?

Whenever I've expected us to lose this season, we've won. Whenever I've expected us to win this season, we've lost. I expect us to lose on Saturday, so therefore we will win  xxxxx:action-smiley-065:

4-3-3 for this one as it works perfectly against teams who try and play football.

      Mignolet

      Moreno
      Lovren
      Matip
      Clyne

      Wijnaldum
      Lallana
      Milner

      Coutinho
      Firmino
      Mane

Win and we still have a hope of top four. Lose and, well, it's all over for me. A draw is no good either.

Come on reds for fucks sake please.

Daniel Sturridge is over his virus!

But he's got a hip strain from a 'rehab' session.

      Henderson out, Lovren possible.

He has basically gone on strike, knows his career is finished here

Edit: Actually it's quite believable him being injured in a rehab session  :lmao:

If Emre Can starts, it's basically a forfeit.

      Sadly agree.  :( >:(

Unfortunately, Klopp doesn't trust any of the youngsters or trusts them enough. :( Also, this game might be too big for the youngsters and to make too many changes to the team.

I expect the same 11 as Spuds/Leicester. I hope Lucas is put in midfield and Can in defense. Possibly, better positions for the two.

Will we see anything different tomorrow?
Could argue we don't need to cause we've been able to perform so far against the top6.
Maybe. But can we play the same for rest of season?

      My starting XI:

              Karius
         Lovren Matip Can
      Milner    Hendo     Moreno
         Mane, Coutinho
              Origi

Start Karius. 3 CBs, Can one of them. Milner to right. Moreno in for pace.
No Firmino. No Lucas. No Gini. No Migs. No Clyne.

Starting XI: Mignolet, Clyne, Matip, Lovren, Milner, Hendo, Wijnaldum, Lallana, Mane, Coutinho, Firmino.
Who knows, ^ might work fine.

But would like to see us try something different. In prep for the rest of the season. And to stop me falling asleep.

Word on the street is 1 change. Lucas out for Lovren/Klavan.

Not surprising on two fronts. Lucas is no CB and needed to come out and also who the F**k else could come in to the team and boost the team?

I think we can beat these. Could be our only win of the month again, but these are right up our street for beating.

Not if Can is left with the responsibility of bossing our midfield they're not!
He's gonna get the runaround I think.

Yeah seems like all the false dawns have taken it out of the Reds, which to get fair is understandable.

I think despite people wanting to see changes after the horror show on Monday now is not the right time to have a change in formation that we have been playing all season esp against the Arse.

Interestingly their fans reckon that their players are even bigger pussies than ours and are expecting them to get run over.
No doubt Arsenal won't employ the bully boy tactics our softies find hard to face up to so it might come down to simply putting in the hard yards and making it difficult for them esp in midfield to get the ball up to their man Sanchez.

Talking of Sanchez if Lucas starts its going to be carnage considering what Steoptoe did to him. Fingers crossed Lovren is fit.

Despite Firmino's lack of output he does help the team in these sort of games.

Fingers crossed because I reckon we lose this and dreams of Top 4 are over.

Going through the motions now of seeing out a dismal season.

Waiting for another 'important summer', which is what this club's all about these days, the football, well...

We have got to beat Arsenal if only to get some pride back in the club.We have had enough bad results since Christmas for this season.

I'm more concerned with our match after this one; vs Burnley

If we beat Arsenal, we leapfrog them into fourth having played one more game and 2 points ahead of them. Says something about or great first half of the season that we've basically imploded yet we are still in with a good chance of making ECL with 12 games to go.

That said I've gone for 2-1 to Arsenal :/

Please can we have Couts in a more central position so much more effective there. Think Origi will get more game time as well

If ever we needed an end to the storm then that time is now , I don't foresee a golden sky  but a bit of pride in the shirt wouldn't go amiss COYR.

Has to be a win this. We turn up against the better teams, and the open flowing football should be enough to see us take our chances and win the game.

Klopp will go for the same team. Hopefully get the win. Then we'll see endless posts about how fantastic our team is. Go on, even Firmino might score a goal and he'll be rated the best player in the league again.

Anything but a win will be seriously depressing.

A few weeks ago I would have agreed, but even the superfans hit the panic button, and quite rightly too.

I think we will win, or at least crwate chances, but we've always done well in big games, and against open teams.

It's the structured ones we can't get past.

Can't remember the last 0-0 we had with the lot..
Virtually every game you look back on over the last 15 years has been a high scoring result from both sides and I don't see today being any different..
Despite what a lot of people may think form will go out of the window today and our players will play like the Leicester game never happened.
Arsenal will play an open game with no ale house long balls upfield and throw ins launched into the 6 yd box so providing we stay close to Giroud and Sanchez and don't give away stupid free kicks on the edge of the box we should beat this lot..
Give them space and time and they will punish us...

Knowing our luck right now Giroud could score a hat trick of scorpions at the Kop end ... ha ha

Big game today, great chance to stay in the chase for top 4..

I've gone for a heart stopping 3-2 win....

True enough that most fans have come round to the idea of accepting the problems. Hope that's the end of the bad times..

But in a way, as odd as it may sound, I'd rather see the team get a win with a different lineup and team tactic (e.g. Origi ahead of Firmino), rather than a win with the same team again, as at least that would indicate that Klopp has changed something.

If we win with the same team, I'll still find it hard to believe that going up against the next beatable side will be any different in our recent results.
