This game just shows how much we miss Henderson.  We would've won had he played.

Oh.  Wait.  We did win.  Without him.

And we lost last week.  Without him.

Conclusion?  Henderson is irrelevant to our success our failure.  We don't lose because of him and we don't win because of him.  Top priority this summer should be gutting central midfield.  Henderson, Can, etc, we can do so much better than them, especially if we qualify for CL.

Imagine if we added a top keeper and a strong central midfield to our attack.  We'd surely be title favorites next season.

No we wouldn't because we'd still need a centre back and a left back.

What a great match to watch and an excellent performance by us against a good opponent.

Sure we benefit from Wenger not choosing Sanchez from the start, and from Can avoiding dismissal, but we also should have had a penalty when Bobby took a two-handed shove in the chest to stop him advancing.

That final goal may have been the loudest I've screamed all season. Perfect end to the match.

All that, and I hit the prediction perfect for 7 points (and that was a late change, a couple of hours before the match from a draw)!

Klopp says team will enjoy this today and work on what needs to change vs. bunkering teams during the week. Perfect timing for Origi to re-emerge as I think he will be key to that tactic. Would love to see more of Ben Woodburn at this point as well.

      But what a great day.

It's so f**king frustrating mate expecting to beat top 5 teams and lose against bottom 5 teams. :f_wah:

Really wouldn't think a team that is unbeaten against the top 6 would be struggling to get so much as a draw at best against the bread and butter teams

As far as I can understand, is that small team park the bus and wait for a counter. Then we struggle to break them down.

When teams try to play football against us, we are quicker and fitter. We just need to make our defense more solid and Learn few tricks to break down teams who park the bus.
A proper cm like fabregas could do the trick Imo.

I think we need a proper striker to consistently win against bus-parking teams. Every top team has at least one (Costa, Aguero, Sanchez, Kane, etc.) We used to have one in Torres or Suarez, but right now none of our attackers has that striker instinct.

Now the emotions have levelled out, I have to say that in the bigger picture this win means nothing to me other than those 3 points. It tells me nothing of where we are at right now as concerns our Jekyll and Hyde mentality.

It's weird but it's as if that was only the first half, and we still have to come out for the second half against Burnley.

So far so good but I can't help thinking we've been here a few times before. Klopp has to make sure that Firmino, Wijnaldum, Coutinho, Can (who didn't do that badly tonight) and Lallana do not do their invisible man act against Burnley or it's groundhog day.

Beating Arsenal was the lift we needed and now we have to make sure we finish the job.

Beat Burnley and we can really start to believe again (now there's a sentence I never thought I'd type)

      Found a cool liner:

Liverpool is like Robin Hood. They steal points from the big Clubs and give them the small.

This win means nothing at all. Not willing to praise anyone until they show up against the teams we should be beating. 3 points, lovely, good stuff. Beat Burnley next week and then these players will get some praise but after the performances this year, they don't deserve any for this. If anything it makes the other games even more frustrating.

Very negative, I know, I'm usually positive, but I'm sick of this team teasing us into thinking they are world beaters only to lose to second rate teams. Player ratings on hold until they show they respect all opposition not just the big teams.

I know what you mean, after Spurs it was the same.

These 3 points mean nothing if we do the usual and F**k up against Burnley.

Just got done watching, performance that was needed. Honestly should have had about 3 more so we weren't perfect but I'll take it. Thought Lallana and Firmino were immense.

Good win. Much needed 3 pts.

      Lallana my MotM.

When afforded the room we can damage teams, we all know this. In essence beating a team like Arsenal is how we're equipped to play.

Special mention to Klavan, I thought he was very good at the back alongside Matip and it was good to see genuine center backs playing alongside one another.

No, but as I said in pre-match thread. I decided not to create it as I did for the tottenham as well and both matches were won. Maybe, I lost my touch a little bit like our players this year.

What a match, where does this team be when we play 'lower sides' ???

Ah sorry mate, didn't notice that.

I don't think whether you create it or not would have an influence and I much prefer your professional touch but if you're superstitious then fair enough.

3 points is always 3 points and all games should be treated equally but if our last two results had been the other way around - beaten Leicester then lost to Arsenal - we'd be one place lower and a point behind Arsenal.
