wtf is wenger moaning and whining to the press about teams on vacation.  implying westham didnt put up a fight

fk old man... i know ppl might have tunnel vision but seriously. how about southampton, stoke and sunderland. those games were an absolute joke

When is Wenger ever not moaning about something?

i hope the boys go out and finish the job on Sunday, I want to be able to relax and watch us end the season - so that does not mean go behind early or not score until late in the 2nd half and get nervous.

      one more game lads

Agreed, if it's 0-0 come 70 mins and Arsenal are winning then it'll be excruciating to watch.

I just hope we fly out the blocks... chance after chance.

Sturridge HAS to start, he will make something happen. Coutinho pulling strings in the middle of the park.

      We can do this.

If we can't beat this lot, in these circumstances, the players may as well retire and take up careers as bus drivers themselves.

May as well. They just learnt how to park a bus. Four clean sheets in the last five games.

Don't deserve CL if we can't even beat Boro at home.

Boro should play their reserves to reward them with the rare Anfield experience.

If we can't beat Middlesbrough we don't deserved anything from this season.

      Should be a formality.

We just have to go out all guns blazing at the start. I thought this would give some people some added optimism...

      Middlesbrough's last 11 away games:

      Southampton ........... lost ....... 1-0
      Burnley ................... lost ....... 1-0
      Man United .............. lost ....... 2-1
      Watford .................. drew ...... 0-0
      Spurs ...................... lost ....... 1-0
      Crystal Palace .......... lost ........ 1-0
      Stoke ...................... lost ....... 2-0
      Swansea ................. drew ...... 0-0
      Hull ........................ lost ........ 4-2
      Bournemouth ........... lost ........ 4-0
      Chelsea ................... lost ........ 3-0

      won: 0
      drew: 2
      lost: 9
      scored: 3
      conceded: 19
      GD: -16
      points: 2

      That record is pathetic!!

      It's the nil-nil I am worried about.  :-[

Also, them parking a bus and we can't get thru them. So worried about this.

Simply got to take the prize now. Feeling optimistic after the W Ham game, but still mindful that football is football and that we have shot ourselves in the foot numerous times this season.

The last thing we need is to be relying on our city neighbours to help us out!

The neighbours will give them a free for all. :( I bet the bitters will lose by at least 3 goals on Sunday.

Doesn't really matter what are "neighbours" do fella, bottom line is, if we cant beat Middlesbrough at home with what is at stake, then we don't deserve to be in the Champions league. Think we got through what could have been the hard game at West Ham, so cannot see anything but a good win for the Redmen on Sunday.

They can go fcok themselves, we do not need their help.

If we can't even win against an already relegated Boro side at home with the KOP and crowd behind the players, I'll be speechless.

Can't see a reason to change the team form Wham game ( bar injury) we looked more assured than we have in a long time and studge making runs for big Phil could be the key.

      CMON you redmen

mind you we could end up in a play off with City if results go the right way!!!!

Can see us winning comfortably on sunday. Players will be buzzing after last weekends game, and boro might try and play a bit considering theyre already down, could be a 4-2 or something.

This probably won't happen either, but a more interesting scenario is if Watford are holding them for a draw in the 2nd half and we are up say, 2 or 3-0 and you get into the Math of it, deciding about going for another goal or closing up shop to keep them from getting one, meanwhile City are going all out to score and leaving themselves vulnerable.

I see now Watford's manager is off following the match, so does that make his players likely to give their all or mail it in?

Can is the leader out there

      ------

I've been pretty subdued for the last quarter of the season, perhaps because I thought we'd not be in with a chance of fourth. But now what we're almost there and it's in our hands, man I'm getting twitchy!

I grasped most of it, I think :D.

To boost our chances of being seeded we need:

      - Dortmund & Napoli to automatically qualify for the CL
      - CSKA to finish 2nd
      - Ajax to win the EL (if they don't then they start in the 3rd quali round but they'll be one of the best teams in that round)
