He's being f***ed off out of Ipswich this summer.
They've had enough of him as has Marcus Evans the owner.
He won't walk .... they'll need to sack him.

Without European football, 6 league games were played at 3pm on a Saturday this season. 31 other kos were changed, with no postponements or games in hand. The other game is the last day of the season where the ko time is non negotiable, as it has been every year since 1995.

At this level, with or without European football, you have to be prepared to play every day of the week at all hours of the day and night, like it or not.

It's fairly safe to say we will be back in Europe next year, a huge relief even if it's not the glamour competition. Once again, it's been painful to be without it this year, as our rankings and seedings have plummeted, while the alleged benefits of it have been minimal, leaving a wafer thin squad to deal with the consequences.

Agree with most of this, but I'd say our performance over most of the season compared to the stretch in the middle when we had more midweek matches, argues that we DID benefit from not having European football.

Most of our points have come when we were playing one match per week, and nearly all of our dropped league points (12 from 5 matches) and both Cup exits, came when we played 10 matches in 33 days.

August through November and February through May is when we would be (or would have been) playing many more matches on 3-4 days rest. But in those months we dropped just 18 points in 27 matches and were undefeated in our Cup matches. Even 7 of those dropped league points were in weeks where we played three matches (fixtures not included in that miserable January to Feb. 4 stretch).

Obviously this points to squad depth, and even Klopp has admitted to mistakes made, but it's also clear that when this group has a full week to rest and prepare,we are as good as anybody.

Just had another go at this, http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/plot-liverpools-road-europe-fixture-12776103

and I get the following now and that would do me just fine:

      1 Chelsea     94
      2 Tottenham 84
      3 Man City    82
      4 Liverpool    77
      5 Arsenal      67
      6 Man Utd     63

Basically both Manure and the Arse have absolutely horrible run-ins where I think they'll both drop plenty of points so we can actually afford to lose quite a few and still romp home in 4th but I reckon we'll win 4 with 2 draws.

If that is the final points tally, 17 points off the top, when we were at the top in December, will make me feel sicker then I originally thought I would be!

Huge result for us today, I actually saw that as one of our toughest matches left. Didn't realise that we'd never won away at a Pulis side though so that really backs that idea up.

Let's hope United drop points at the Chavs and then it'll be completely in our hands but that certainly keeps the pressure up on City too.

Bookies have certainly reacted on the back of that, we're 1/14! That's one hell of a short price.

I just hopped over to Pysioroom expecting to see Lallana and Henderson available soon, but surprised to see that their return has been pushed back, major doubt for may 1st and now Klavan added with no return date. 7 injuries now. wtf is going on here. We have not been in any cups since January.

If you saw uniteds first goal, you would see Chelsea would have been through on goal, Herrera stopped it with his hand and then kicked it to Rashford who went on to score an offside goal. Correct decision would have been a free kick to Chelsea in a dangerous area. Officials decision is to do **** all and let the goal stand.

Can see the Mancs beating City now, which keeps top 4 race tight, and leaves us in 3rd so long as we beat palace.

Leaving 4th a battle between the 2 mancs.

Really a draw between them suits us.

We keep winning and we should finish 3rd.

Think the scum still have to play City, Tottenham and Arsenal? Don't see them winning all three games plus their other remaining ones. But even if they do win any of those, it ultimately helps us as well. We just need to keep picking up wins.

I'd imagine that Boro game will get on TV as well if the top four hasn't been sorted by the last day.

Don't all games kick off at the same time on the last day, no games on TV at all, at least in the UK?

Chelsea done us no favors, now we can only hope that City beats Utd and Spurs beats both Arsenal and Utd and we win all our remaining games

United have to win their games in hand just to go level on points but we could have the better GD depending on how much they win those games by (if they do). A draw in the derby would be perfect as it might mean that we stay above both Manchester clubs - if we can beat Palace first - even if they win their other games in hand.

      Next week:
Sun: Burnley vs Man United [away win]
Sun: Liverpool vs Palace [home win]

Wed: Arsenal vs Leicester [home win]
Thur: Man City vs Man United [draw]

There's usually a couple of games on but you're right about the kick offs.

Today's win and last weeks win at Stoke were massive. They are the games we usually bottle and with the injuries we have at the moment I wasn't very confident. Those 6 points have put us in a very strong position indeed.

The mancs got a good win today but they need to go to Burnley, city, Arsenal, Spurs and Southampton. They are five horrible away fixtures those. They will do very well to get 9 points there.

Arsenal have to go to Spurs and Stoke, both tough places. They are like us were they usually bottle it and get bullied at places like Stoke. They also have the mancs at home.

I expect us to win our remaining games at home being palace, Saints and boro which should see us over the line but I fancy us going to both Watford and West Ham and getting two wins there too.

WBA and Stoke were the toughest games we had left in my opinion and we've won both. Now I think we must be favourites for third.
