Great to see the bench looking really strong.

Lots of attacking threat waiting to come on if needed.

Firmino won't be injured tomorrow according to Physioroom. Shows how misinformed people are on here.

Looks like Physioroom, know jack sh*t.

It's grim isn't it.  Bordering on embarrassing.  Hopefully the first XI sew this up and don't need 'reinforcements'.

Predictable X1 giving that Bobby is out, hope to see Divock bag one or two and give his confidence a boost, be interesting how we go about this today, probably 4,2,3,1 , don't really care if I'm honest just want us to bag the three points, fairly confident we will.

3-0 Mighty Redmen, Mane, Divock, Lallana in any order will suffice.

Should be more than strong enough to see off Burnley.

Time to step up Divock lad.

Would love to see Woodburn get a half an hour in that case :)

It's a joke that our bench is so bad. One or two injuries and this is what we have to deal with. I hope Klopp is right about spending money this summer because we're going to have to.

      Ings, Sturridge, Firmino, Lovren, Henderson.

Pity Sakho is out on loan.

Even still, those 5 injuries should not mean we rely on a bench of 18 year olds.

Wilson on the bench! He could add some width on the left if needed, hope he gets some game time. Would have liked to have seen Lucas instead of Can and Coutinho instead of Lallana with Moreno out wide, but whatever, still a nice team.

Excited to see Origi, I reckon he'll work the center backs and use his pace and strength against them, different to Firmino and Sturridge.

Why would you want to bench Lallana?

True, but if you can find a club that has 5 first team injuries and a strong bench, I'd be surprised.

It really is quite odd, considering we used to buy, what seemed to be, a new team every transfer window.

I want to see some creativity from deep, someone to really dictate when in possession, and we rarely/haven't seen that vs lesser defensive teams, and you get more width with Moreno/Wilson out wide.

True although at that point you do have to start questioning (at the risk of sounding like that fitness egg bloke) why we have such persistent injuries spread across the team.

Klopp has had this problem at Dortmund, didn't he? Could it be the training regime?

Yep, it's a fair point but I would say that having long term injuries to others has put a huge strain on those remaining.

Sturridge and Ings for example, that has put the burden on Origi and Firmino. One they wouldn't have been expected to carry throughout the whole season. Same with Lovren, he's been repeatedly injured throughout his time here, not sure what his career looked like before he got here but he does seem to get 'infections' a lot more regularly than the average person.

Is that really to do with fitness or just his constitution? Hendo is another long standing problem, no pun intended, and while it may not be his heel this time, as will all long term injuries if trained upon they can have knock on effects elsewhere as the body compensates. Firmino was actually due an injury unfortunately, due to being relied upon for so many games it should come as no surprise that he's finally took a knock he can't quickly recover from but in all honesty I don't think too much of what we're suffering from is self inflicted.

You could suggest that we shipped Sturridge on as he was too fragile to be relied upon, something that has been levelled at him for a long time and on that one I think most of us, with the benefit of hindsight, would have thought that would have been the right time.

Anyway as it is we've got a decent first team there that should be able to get the job done against the worst away side in the league. Expecting a good performance by Divock, his form has started to turn for the better and I'd love to see him really show signs of progress now.

      COME ON REDMEN!!
