2017-18 LFC Kit - new crest
      : Mar 15, 2017 10:56:38 am »
LFC will wear a special commemorative crest on their shirts in the 2017-18 season.

Hopefully much better than the one we had for the 100th anniversary.

I think a redesign is well overdue anyway for the main logo and badge.

That was all introduced during our " green period".  Keep the content obviously.

How about a competition for new designs to be submitted , voted on and then submitted to the Yanks?

      I disagree Skip.

I'm a big fan of the simple Liverbird.

This is the badge we are supposed to be having on our shirts next season - it's the clubs first crest from 1892

Just to save anyone else nipping off to find out......

The motto of Liverpool 'Deus Nobis Haec Otia Fecit' and is from the Roman poet Virgil. It is commonly translated as 'God has given to us this leisure'.

I was sure Deus Nobis would've meant two cocks but there ya go.

Maybe it didn't translate to leisure but pleasure?

I'm fairly sure that they were just showing that as part of the history vid.

Although what's not to love about a merman smoking a massive joint and a muscular traffic warden holding a trident?

      1892 - those crazy days.

      Ha!

I agree - I like the sentiments but there is a bit too much going on in that old crest. The guy holding the trident on the left wearing nothing except a tugboat captain's hat looks a bit 'hen party stripper' to me.

Little known fact, the Merman and Tugboat captain were original members of the Village People.

That looks wonderful. No sponsorship would be perfect.

I know we have American owners but I don't like the sound of Liverpool Reds haha  ;D

That might look nice but you can guarantee NB will put their  spin on it and we'll end up with some stupid pattern all over the shirt.

Wasn't or original kit similar to Blackburn rovers with the blue and white quarters? I wouldn't be surprised if we had that again as a third kit next season.

Blue and white halves mate but yes, there was an unfortunate time when we didn't play in red :D. It's crazy for me to think we didn't go all red until 1965.
