      Apr 01, 2017 11:29:24 am

New home dressing room and Anfield waiting for 'Mr Liverpool mosaic'

      No to half scarfs :(

Starting XI: Mignolet, Clyne, Lovren, Matip, Milner, Lucas, Can, Wijnaldum, Mane, Firmino, Coutinho

Subs: Karius, Klavan, Moreno, Alexander-Arnold, Grujic, Woodburn, Origi

Klopp: 'It is silly not to acknowledge today is special because of who we are playing. The big problem is it is special for Everton as well'
Klopp on Ronnie Moran; 'He has joined our giants who have made their great impact at #LFC..We hope to do his memory proud today and beyond'.

Dejan Lovren and Lucas Leiva start for Liverpool in this afternoon’s Merseyside derby.

The duo return to the line-up as the Reds make two changes for the clash with Everton, replacing Adam Lallana and Ragnar Klavan.

Elsewhere, Marko Grujic returns to the matchday squad for the first time since November 29 following injury and is named on the bench.

Back to Live threading after some time off :)

I would have played Coutinho in Lallana's position and Origi as striker.

      Yep exactly.

Lucas should not be part of the team.

Matthew Pennington in the Everton team...

Noticed Pennington got into their first team the other night.

Good Jesus he was sh*t in the Warrington Leagues!!!

I know they have injuries but he shouldn't be playing in the football leagues, useless mouthy f**ker he is.

No wonder Martinez got the sack.

We should have a field day against him and this lot today. I've skinned him a few times and I was a goalkeeper!

With a bit of luck he will score the winner, just give the lad a chance and don't hang him prior to kick off.

Exactly. This lad has earned respect with years of service and everyone F***ing digs him out constantly.

He's the only person in the team who probably understands this derby.

Yes he has been a brilliant servant for the club but his time has passed.

I hope he has a stormer and scores a hat trick but he is not the answer.

Shows how thin our squad is once again.

I'm not one of his critics because he plays with his heart but with Can in the team. We lack creativity from the midfield.

I just hope that everyone is in his best form.

I get the feeling I will only appreciate the work rate and loyalty Lucas gives us, when he leaves us.

A bit of Kuyt thing going on.

Will be made up if he scores the winner.

      What's this "understanding" the derby?

Is it difficult to comprehend? Is there a player in our team who does not realise Everton are from the city of Liverpool?

       ;D

Fine, we don't have any scousers, but I don't get the argument that the derby needs to be understood. A derby is a derby. We go out there and hammer that lot and get stuck in - whilst taking their shameful leg breaking tackles.

I can't help thinking this could set the tone for a good few years. With the number of youngsters in Everton's team, if they are on the end of a torrid time from both the team and the fans, they'll never want to play at Anfield again.

I'm not advocating verbally abusing them or "roughing them up" but they need to know they are the poor relations on every level.
