I personally rate AOC. Under Klopp, I think he will flourish. We need his speed and dynamism in the middle of the park. With CL football and our squad injury record, we cannot have too many players in the middle of the park and up front. AOC is unique due to his versatility. I think that he would be an awesome buy and the same "nay-sayers" that were whining about Wijnaldum will be proven wrong again. AOC is quality and would be a great addition to the team.

Usually I can translate American into Scouse but that one's got me flummoxed. I know what you mean but 'yoked lil rascal' is hard to migrate.

      ;D

The lad is bloody muscular. He looks cracking in his tight shirt. I'm not taking a piss, just putting it plainly.

That was my attempt as speaking that euro slang. FYI, why I chose those words will forever be a mystery to me. Normally I would say something like "dat dude is jacked" or "does he order child size kits?"

How do you suggest Ox will be better in midfield?
He certainly doesn't have the skill set or experience!

Sounds a bit like Milner - he can play CM when in reality he can't at the highest level and I suspect neither can Ox.

He is definitely better as a wide player and at this point he would be a backup. I don't want to pay 25-30M for a backup anything.

      I like this:

There’s a lot of talk about him being a player that hasn’t fulfilled his potential but this a 23-year-old lad. He could come in, sign a five-year deal and still only be in his peak years towards the end of that contract

You can't play the age card with likes of Emre Can ("he's still young", "he'll come good", etc) and then dismiss Chamberlain as not having fulfilled his potential. They're both the same age.

i've always liked ox. can't believe he's still only 23.

to me it's a no brainer. he gets to bail arsenal who are slipping, we are hopefully going to finish above them again. we get a solid squad player who will get better. he's much better than using Ojo or Wilson or Grujic. that's who he'll be replacing if/when he comes off the bench. plus he's english, not a bad player to fill the home grown quota.

Injury prone, not sure of his best posit2, overrated,  yes it is a no brainer as to sign him for 30 million means you have no brain

Looks like Ox turned down the Arsenal deal, I think Ox to us is going to happen more and more. Like I said earlier, if healthy I see him being a guy who utility's for us this year and then if we move Lallana when is contract extension kicks in next year I could see him taking a more prominent role at midfield. If we can land Ox while still getting Keita I'm all for it. 25 mil is about right for good quality depth, especially when you see one with the pace and promise of Ox.

Not too keen myself but he is quite good on certain days and if Jürgen thinks he can keep him injury free and keep up a level of consistency then that's fine with me.

The boss must see something in him that is useful to the team and if that's the case then so be it.

I'm with the minority. He's most probably worth 20 mil. But,

He's young and can only get better :  Add 5 mil
He has experience playing in the PL  :  Add 5 mil
He dares to take on defenders and fast :  Add 5 mil
He can make some nice crosses  :  Add 5 mil

      Total  :  40 mil

If Arsenal offers to sell at 30 mil, get the deal done and stop haggling.

If we dallied, someone comes round and offered what Arsenal is asking, we're back to buying overpriced and unproven PL striker.

As long as we can get him for a sensible price, round about £25 million then I think its worth a shot, I've always liked him as a player and think there is still lots of room for improvement.

There is a lot of football to be played this year so there will be time for everyone. Last year we were thin and that was in a year without to much extra football. We got tired and hurt and lack of depth showed in Jan & Feb. This year with champions league and other tourneys we need quality guys who can play FA and lower league games to give rest to other players. With his versatility I like the idea. If you don't like his price than you don't like the market. If we want 15 for Moreno than Ox is certainly worth 25. That's just the market man. Besides, now that he has turned down Arsenal I think we may get him for the less. We hold the hill

At today's prices 25 million would be a good buy. Solid squad/performer and could make a lot worse buys. at this money.
