I personally think he could thrive under Klopp. Who cares about the price, not our money. Ā£35m is pretty standard these days.

You'll care about the price when it's the reason we can't get a better player for another position and you're complaining about the owners being tight with their money :D.

Looked alright this year but being surrounded by dross does make you look better.

      No thanks.

Liverpool have signed Oxlade-Chamberlain on a pre-contract agreement. Contract negotiations are undergoing as we speak. (@GraemeKelly1)

Usually gets things accurate, certainly an interesting development.

Was just coming here to say this, been text it by my mate. Don't really know how to feel about it! But obviously if/when he signs he will have my total support!

Don't know about this, depends I suppose on the details however it is nice to nick a player from a rival versus them doing it too us...bit of a statement that.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain missed 77 games due to injury in the last four seasons. That's a horrific record. #lfc

Fair play to Corbs, robbing these off his retweets.

That record is by far the scariest part of this transfer imo.

Actually less concerned about that part mate, I always thought he had talent. When I first saw him play for Arsenal I thought he looked a special player, now granted that has worn off due to injuries over a time a little.

So I think the talent is there, my bigger concerns would be the injury record and apparent attitude towards warming the bench at Arsenal. Someone suggested it was because of this why he was given the number 10 role due to kicking up a fuss. No idea of the truth behind that but right now we have a squad that appears to really pull together and the less bad apples in there the better.

      Intriguing this one.

There is no way this is true. If it is, then I have to believe the "Transfer Committee" is in fact fully in charge and Klopp's statements otherwise are just hot air. After his freezing out of Sturridge over his inability to be available, why in the world would he want a player that's almost as oft injured and isn't as talented? I mean this literally makes no sense.

I thought pre-contract agreements were for when a player is going to be out of contract in the near future, had refused a new contract, and that he still has over a year left on his current contract?

Oh well, we'll see soon enough I suppose.

No he isn't, I believe he's got literally one thing right (Rodgers sacking). Everything else he's been wrong completely or he just parrots things after the fact.

Honestly no idea how pre-contracts work. Perhaps he has a clause once he enters his last 12 months, but yeah honestly not a clue. I do know that Arsenal have allowed plenty of their players to enter into the last 18 months of their contracts, if they miss out on the CL it could become quite the exodus.

That's what I thought as well. Didn't think you could sign a more contract while still under contract with another club unit a transfer was agreed.

He's still got 14 months left mate.
      Just checked.
It all sounds a bit dodgy, but as ever, time will tell.

I've been browsing through some google results, and apparently, Arsenal have to pay Southampton Ā£10k every time he plays for more than 20 minutes.
No idea if it's true, but it might explain his sub appearances on 71 mins

Also lots of reports from last summer onwards saying he wanted a "bumper pay rise" as he's "only" on Ā£65k a week.

No idea what to make of this, but if it were up to me, we wouldn't be paying big money for him.
