      Essentially he's a pacey Lallana.

I was looking at some of his stats earlier and trying to find which player of our current squad he's most similar to - and my conclusion was Adam Lallana, so it's interesting to see you describe Ox as a pacy version of Adam.

Chamberlain may not be the world beating exciting signing that many of us wanted, but what makes me really confident about it is that Klopp really seems to have been after him for a while now, so he definitely sees something he likes in the player.

Got the Ox but most of us want dat bell cow (VVD)

All jokes aside I like the deal. Lack of depth is something that really hurt last winter, and I think we needed to get a utility player like Ox who can fill multiple positions in lower tourney and league games and for injury and rest purposes. He is also a guy who seems due for an upgrade of performance with the right system and coach. Wouldn't surprise me one bit if he blossomed here. He has nice speed, plays with a real strong low center of gravity when taking on defenders, and is a decent defender. Though Lemar would have been more valuable to the club the Ox will be more valuable to the squad. Still hope we get Lemar, though the priority at this point should be on VVD.

VVD ain't coming. We are going to play with midfielders and forwards only. Who needs defenders. ;)

Now that Ox is here, Milner will be a backup CB. So, Milner will be like a new signing.

He'll be a different player with a new attitude once he pulls that Red shirt on....
Wouldn't be surprised if he goes straight in against Man Shitty.

      All about depth I think.

The market two years ago and he's a £15 million squad option. Now it seems £35 million is the new £15 million.

I agree it's about depth - but still - he's going to have to pull up some trees as a squad player to make that look like a bargain when he could have come for free in 10 months time.

Yeah...because working for Klopp is one hell of a wrong turn.

      Dya reckon?... ???
He's a quality proven individual who I'm pretty certain will obey the Klopp laboratory scientists from the word go unlike that chaotic set up at Arsenal right now..
Don't forget Jurgens had his eye on him for most of this year so he obviously has an immediate role set ready for him in the squad.

Also turned down £220k a week to Chelsea. That is beyond commendable, that deserves massive respect and appreciation. In the day and age of greed ruling so many decisions, while of course £120k a week is hardly chump change, to take £100k a week pay cut to follow your dream and join our club impresses me massively.

Career over pocket, dream over greed, well played fella.

His World Cup squad chances stand a much better chance playing alongside Hendo, Studge and Lallana week in week out with TAA tucked in behind him aswell  ;)

Yes he did and hes a Liverpool fan .

One thing that has spoken volumes in this age of the Sterlings etc and that is ...the Arse have just offered him a 180k a week contract which he rejected to come to us for 120 k a week.  That is serious money to give up.
He can see something with us that he couldn't see going forward with Wenger and The Arse .
Serious, serious money is the alleged 220k a week offer from the Chavs.

That has to be in the front of our minds.

      He is .
He is going to be out there to prove himself this season and get off to a flyer.

Everything that I want to say has already been said except welcome on board. Is that a done deal? Like the lad. We have fire power on the left and right and now more thrust from the middle. Opposition defenders will have their hands full this season coming up against us. Like the lad very much and he will do well in his original position.

Can't win the league with just an 11
