Some wallaper of a Saints fan posted a pic of a crying teenager in a LFC top and encouraged that lot to re-tweet to celebrate.

I politely pointed out that was a bit like celebrating your Mrs not shagging the guy up the road (after telling you she wanted to) cos you've locked her in the cellar!

And if the story is true that they will sell only to clubs other than LFC then the case must be that VVD is truly commited to coming here if not then City, Chelsea and all the rest of them would be knocking each other over to put a bid in.

I can only surmise that he thinks Gomez can step up if needed, and that VvD is the only player that fits.

It's a bit of a head scratcher, but unless Klopp explains his position, the above is the only thing I can think of.

It's amazing that Liverpool play such a unique style of football that the only CB in the world that can improve upon Lovren plays for Southampton. And luckily for us, Lovren also plays that style of football so at least there's that. That people believe a load like that boggles the mind.
